Columbia College is a private, urban college that offers a BA and a BFA in Fashion Design. Departmental facilities include a fashion lab equipped with sewing machines, cutting tables, dress forms, and ironing stations.
Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC
The fashion design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) has been around since 1944. There is a fashion design program, in addition to graduate programs in fashion and textile studies in history, theory, museum practice and global fashion management. Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA
The School of Fashion at the Savannah College of Art and Design offers a BFA as well as an MFA and MA in Fashion. Additionally, the annual fashion show, SCAD, provides students with the opportunity to show their work to famous designers and the media.
Columbus College of Art and Design
Columbus College of Art and Design offers a BFA program in fashion design. Students design styles, develop their sewing skills, and gain experience with industry standard software. They have access to six studios, including a sewing lab, a pattern and draping lab, a drawing lab, and a computer lab. In addition to design-specific courses, students also pursue more general liberal arts studies. The program culminates in a senior fashion show.
