Endurance Review 2016 #local #car #dealerships

#best extended auto warranty

Endurance Review

Endurance is a direct provider of extended car warranties that works with you to find the right plan with the best coverage available. Endurance has coverage available for vehicles up to 15 years old with 150,000 miles or less on the engine. While this might disappoint some customers who have put a lot of mileage on their cars, this range is higher than the extended warranty industry average for mileage and model age.

You can choose from Endurance’s simple Secure plan that covers vital parts like the engine, drive axle and transmission, or you can get complete coverage with the Superior plan. The Superior plan covers a wider range of systems than the Secure plan including your air conditioning, brakes and electrical components. The best coverage plan Endurance offers is the Supreme warranty plan. This plan includes all the systems and parts coverage of the Secure and Superior plans combined and provides maximum protection when you have parts that break down or fail, which means it’s a bumper-to-bumper warranty. Endurance has samples of its plans online so you can see what is included in each.

Most extended auto warranties will not cover a repair if you have neglected to properly maintain your vehicle. You are responsible for any regular maintenance items like oil changes, wiper blades, fuses, fluids and light bulbs. You ll want to keep receipts from any maintenance you do so your claim process will go more smoothly.

Each warranty plan offered by Endurance includes 24/7 roadside service. It is reassuring to know that help is just a phone call away if you ever lock yourself out of your car, need to be towed or run out of gas. This roadside service is available for free once in a 72-hour period, no matter if you are in the United States or in Canada.

Claim Services

Endurance is the only administrator for its plans. This means that once you purchase a car warranty, Endurance will not pass you off to a different company or provider at any time during the process like many extended car warranty companies do. When you need to submit a repair claim, you simply give the service manager at the repair shop your Endurance card and that person will call Endurance to get the repairs approved. Once the repair claim has been approved, Endurance pays the repair facility directly with a corporate credit card. You never have to worry about paying for approved repairs from your own pocket.

Endurance requires that you go through an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)-certified mechanic, to ensure that all repairs are done properly. This isn t usually a problem since the vast majority of mechanics in the United States and Canada are ASE-certified. If you don’t have a regular mechanic or you have a mechanical failure while you are traveling far from home, you can contact Endurance and the company will refer you to a certified ASE shop to get the service you need.

Endurance gives you a 30-day, money-back guarantee when you sign up, and as long as you do not make any claims during that time, you will be eligible for a full refund. Another nice feature is that you can choose to have a $100, $50 or $0 deductible. Also, your extended warranty is transferrable, so if you end up selling your vehicle with time left on the contract, it carries over to the new owner so the vehicle continues to be protected.

Help & Support

Endurance takes pride in its customer service and provides friendly, courteous service. You can reach Endurance by phone or by email and you can keep up with them on Facebook or Twitter. Unfortunately, while a customer service representative is always easy to reach by phone or email, there is no option for live chat.

Auto Credit Express – Star Review

Background:

Founded in 1999 by Rich LaLonde, Auto Credit Express has offices inside numerous franchise dealerships. The offices are standalone financing operations. In 2001, Auto Credit Express expanded into the online consumer market with the mission of helping people with credit problems buy cars. Auto Credit Express does not appear to be publicly affiliated with any other business entities other than the franchise dealerships that contract with Auto Credit Express to provide loan services.

Auto Credit Express markets itself as an auto loan option for borrowers with bad credit. In addition to financing auto loans for people with bad credit, Auto Credit Express will also help auto dealers profit from sub-prime auto lending through training, software, and guidance. According to their Better Business Bureau business review, Auto Credit Express had an A+ rating with three resolved complaints over two years.

Auto Credit Express Features:

Auto Credit Express has many key features for potential borrowers including:

  • An easy multistep pre-approval process designed to inform borrowers of their likelihood of approval before submitting a formal application
  • Online pre-approval and application process
  • Numerous online calculators (including a loan estimator) and resources for borrowers
  • Auto Financing options for borrowers with various credit histories
  • Bad Credit Financing options for borrowers with poor credit history
  • First Time Buyer Programs for borrowers with a limited or no credit history
  • Extended Factory Protection option for unexpected repairs on qualifying vehicles.

Pricing:

Down payments for auto loans through Auto Credit Express vary based on credit ratings between 0% and 10%. Financing rates also vary based on credit history. Other than a down payment matrix, pricing and fees are not publicly available. Borrowers will need to contact Auto Credit Express for pricing information.

Autoflex Leasing Review

Specifications

In-depth explanations about leasing, stellar customer service, a vast array of features, and door-to-door delivery are what you can expect from Autoflex Leasing. Our TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award winning product has all of the elements we expect from a superb Auto Leasing company, and it is evident that they have done all they can to ensure the consumer is well educated about the good, the bad and the ugly of leasing.

One of the best features offered by Autoflex is GAP insurance option. This protects leasers if they get into an accident and their car is damaged beyond repair. The GAP insurance will cover everything that you re insurance won t cover, in addition to paying off the rest of the lease. Autoflex also offers door-to-door delivery of vehicles. After you ve chosen the exact car you want, Autoflex will hunt it down and deliver it to you. To make the process a little less expensive, you will have the option of trading in your current car to help with some of the payments.

We were probably most pleased with the amount of depth Autoflex put into their articles about leasing. They offer information on the difference between leasing and buying, types of leases, different costs associated with leasing, and more. We found this to be extremely helpful. Although many of the other sites we reviewed had helpful articles, none were as comprehensive as Autoflex s. In addition to a variety of helpful articles, Autoflex also provides an FAQ section, email support and phone support.

Firestone Auto Care – Ethics and Overcharging, Review 312125 #new #auto #parts

Ethics and Overcharging

Phone: (303) 973-3100

My son-in-law and I worked on his Nissan Frontier, putting on a new alternator and battery that we purchased from Checker Auto. Everything worked great for about a week, when the same symptoms re-appeared, (dead battery & guages going haywire). After taking the alternator and battery back off and taking them to Checker for testing, Checker says their parts are fine (wrong).

So now, since Checker denies bad parts, we take the truck to Firestone, believing that professional diagnostics is needed to trace down a grounding problem or something else.

Firestone calls back an hour later and tells my daughter, “You have a bad cell in the battery, and you need a new alternator.” My daughter tells the guy that both of these parts were still under warranty at Checkers, being that we just bought them last week.

The mechanic then says, “Well, we do a lot of business with Checkers, and I know the guys at the store you went to, so I ll just get those exchanged for you. Having said that, my daughter authorizes the repairs, thinking they ll simply exchange the parts and charge us the labor for replacement.

When we go to pick up the vehicle, they hand us a “Checker” alternator box, with our “new – bad one” in it and tell us we ll have to take that one back to Checkers for a refund. That alternator was $149.00, but Firestone put the identical alternator from Checkers back on the vehicle and charged $258.00, then gave us the empty box from the new one, to put our “new – bad one” in to take back to Checkers.

I believe this to be unethical, because we had “free replacement parts” available to us through the warranty with Checkers. Firestone couldn t rest on the fact that they would only make money for labor, so they took it upon themselves to cancel the benefits we had with Checker. Sure, we got our money back from Checker on the parts we bought a week ago, but then Firestone over-charged $100.00 on the identical Checker alternator and $50.00 on the identical Checker battery.

Firestone s weak explanation to this was “The computer adds the parts markup and we can t override any charges, then he says and besides, your daughter authorized the repairs”.

When I told him that she authorized the repairs because your mechanic said he knew the guys at Checker and would exchange the parts, he said that s not how we do business and that mechanic really is not authorized to do that.

That s great. Confusion abounds. Ten guys at Firestone can say anything over the phone to get you to commit to authorizing repairs, but none of them are accountable for what they say to get you to commit. So really, there is only ONE party responsible for their committments. the consumer! And after being a long-time Firestone customer for tires and maintanence, this consumer will not be using them any longer.

Wait, let me rephrase that using Firestone tactics.

“Whenever any of my vehicles has a problem in the future, I m coming directly to you and Firestone because you have award winning ethics and great customer service and I know you care about me. that s my committment to you. “

Don t worry Firestone, common people with average intelligence love having lies told to them by arrogant mechanics that hide behind a franchise tag name! That s what makes it great. no one person is ever responsible for making things right, not Firestone- because they ll tell you that was a franchise shop and they re independant. and not the local shop- because they just say they re doing things like Corporate wants us to and that they have no control over policies.

It is my best guess that Firestone mechanics are not hired based on their mechanical prowness, but rather their ability to cram 2 lbs. of crap into a 1 lb. box! It seems all of their “I m authorized for repair/Not authorized for complaint” mechanics possess that honed skill. The side-stepping and elusive loophole tactics used in their business leaves no doubt as to why no-one trusts anyone in the car repair business. Is there an organizational problem flow-chart of excuses Firestone gives to employees to weasle out of quality car repairs they ve been paid a lot of money for?

On my personal truck, a Ford Ranger, I had Firestone do a “lifetime” front end alignment right after getting a new set of Firestone tires. The drivers side tire was leaning (camber) more than I thought it should after the alignment, just by looking from the front of the truck and comparing it to the passenger side tire, but the arrogant tech says, “I ve been a tire guy for 15 years and you can t just look at a tire and say it s out of camber”. So, even though I was dissatisfied, they wouldn t do anything else with it. So I brought the truck back 3, 000 miles later to get the tires rotated and we both SEE uneven wear, isolated on the inside of the drivers side front. He still argued with me that camber wasn t a problem, we just needed to rotate the tires. I said “If only one tire is worn on the inside, putting a freshly rotated tire in that position will only wear that one out on the inside too, right?” This is where his demeanor changed and he started packing the boxes full of crap. He became angry and I was given ANY possiblity other than the camber being adjusted. Naturally, to check all the things he suggested being wrong with it was going to cost me $400-$500 to check. Even when you know your right and the physical properties of your problem is manifested in front of your own two eyes, they resort to humiliating you because your not a mechanic and as a last resort, they turn to anger. This is a great ploy too, because now they have made it so you can t be on professional terms with the people whom you ve paid to fix a problem you still have. They ve stated their position and aren t going to do anything else. So now with your back up against the wall, you feel like your only option is to have to go pay someone else to fix the same problem you ve already paid to have fixed. This is a great operational technique. have people pay you to fix a problem, don t fix the problem. make the customer mad by saying he doesn t have a problem. customer goes somewhere else to get problem fixed. you made money for nothing.

Firestone, if your listening.

Profits seem to be your only concern. but HAPPY “new & repeat” customers BRING YOU THAT PROFIT! If no-one wants to do business with you after being taken advantage of, you ll only get “new” business, which over time, will diminish too when the word gets around from us “experienced” consumers, telling “nonexperienced” consumers where NOT to take their car to get fixed.

Something like: “Oh, that DBS from Casino Royale wasn’t too bad” or “Well, the 1956 Le Mans D-Type, now valued at 3m, was pretty cool…” And yes, these are truly extraordinary cars to drive. But they are not cars you can actually use in the ordinary sense of, you know, a car… So, to stir things up, I like to say: “It’s a Skoda!” I pause for the baffled head shake and then I add: “Actually, it’s the Skoda Superb estate .”

It’s fun winding people up, but it is also true. Since 2001, when Skoda first introduced its Superb, the Czech firm’s flagship model has been a shopwindow for the company’s huge strides in quality, safety, economy and comfort. It’s been blanketed in good reviews and endless gongs, some quite unexpected – last year, for instance, it was named the UK’s Luxury Car of the Year. A Skoda! Who knew? There are still a few benighted souls out there who think Skodas are a joke, but not many. And with the launch of this third-generation Superb, the only people now laughing will be Skoda.

This Superb is the firm’s most sophisticated car ever. It’s been designed to offer the refinement of a large car, but with canny Skoda value thrown in, too. For me, the estate version is all the family car a family could possibly want. It’s an aesthetic mix of crisp lines and sharp creases. The fold which runs the length of the car, from front lens to rear lamp, gives it poise and purpose. Step in and you are immediately impressed by the quality of materials. And it feels enormous – the space between front and back seats is limo-like. That “knee gap”, in fact, is so large it’s become the Superb’s calling card.

The car is brimming with pleasing touches – they call them “surprise and delight” details in the industry. There’s an umbrella concealed in the door, for instance, and an ice scraper hidden in the petrol cap. And all necessary driver aids are present and correct, from adaptive cruise control to park assist.

There’s a range of petrol and diesel engines on offer; the most efficient is the 1.6 TDI, which does an overdraft-soothing 76.4 miles to the gallon – well, as much as we can believe figures these days. To drive it is, as the name suggests, superb: smooth, eager, unfailing. Miles evaporate more quickly than sanity at a 14-year-old’s birthday party. Believe me, we’ve just had one.

But, and this is why it’s the best car I’ve driven, within seconds of sitting at the wheel you feel it has been built with you in mind. It feels as if it’s been made just for you. And you can’t say that about a James Bond car…

Customer Service

Currently, I m trying to deal with this company. They have twice refused to pay my claim even though their insured driver ran into me. Also, they have only returned one of my numerous phone calls to them. I took my car to the nearest body shop affiliated with this company to have my car inspected as they directed me too. It was a 41 mile round trip. They took pictures of my car and determined that I had been struck in the right front side. However, this insurance company now claims they have a witness that states I ran into their insured driver. The police report clearly does not list the name of any witness or any witness statement. The law requires any witness s to an accident to identify themselves to the officers at the scene and give their statement.

My car has the passenger side door and fender completely caved in. It was so bad that I could only open my passenger side door about 8 to 10 inches. My passenger side front tire had the top Toe setting knocked -0.11 degrees off of what it should be (0.00 to 0.20 degrees is what it should be.) Also, there is a blue scrape across the tire indicating where it was struck. And, there is a blue scrape or scratch running the entire length of my passenger side fender and a dent in the top of my bumper where it was struck by his vehicle. It pushed my bumper down and into the tire so I could not drive my car until I pulled the bumper away from the tire.

The problem is that this accident happened as I was leaving a parking lot, so no tickets could be issued because we were on privet property. However, one of the officers at the scene told the other driver he was clearly at fault because the blue stripe running down the length of my fender clearly indicated he ran into me. Also, there was no damage to the front of my vehicle so I couldn t have possibly run into him as he stated.

They refuse to accept any of the physical evidence and still claim their witness verifies their insured driver s statement. This company has no morals, a complete disregard for the law, and lacks any ethical standards. I guess I have no recourse except to pursue legal options because they will not live up to their responsibilities.

Express Credit Auto – Awful experience, Review 140465 #aftermarket #auto #accessories

#express credit auto

Free credit express – charges

I cannot speak for “Chest Rockwell”, but I can tell you my name is Bacon Jennings that I do work for Express Credit Auto (ECA). My office is at the I-240 & Santa-Fe location, and my direct number is 405-516-2733. In response to “ccook60”, let me first say that I can assure everyone the response provided by “Chest Rockwell” is certainly not a response from upper management, nor is it the attitude of ECA to berate disgruntled customers in online discussion boards no matter how harsh their comments may be towards to the company.

In response to the other listed complaints: I am sorry that your experiences with ECA has not been good. It obviously concerns me that you would be unwilling to purchase another vehicle from us. I would like to address your listed concerns in an attempt to salvage relationships that we value very much.

1. I can assure you that all of our vehicles are not the same price. We offer a wide selection of vehicles that vary in price, size, equipment and mileage.

2. We would agree that using payment devices is not ideal, however we specialize in the high-risk credit market. The use of payment devices allows the underwriters the opportunity to loan money to individuals who otherwise may not qualify for financing. We did experience a number of problems with the devices we previously placed in the vehicles, so I do not doubt the validity of your statement. I can tell you that we have switched technologies and no longer use devices that require manual input of codes, or are even visible for that matter. This has significantly reduced the number of reported issues while still allowing us to qualify individuals regardless of their credit histories.

3. I cannot speak to the mechanical issues with your vehicles, as I do not have the specific information available to me. If you would like to call me and provide this, I would be happy to address it in a more detailed manner. It appears however, that even though your vehicles had issues, we stood behind the vehicles and had the issues corrected. We do check every vehicle thoroughly before offering them for sale, in an attempt to ensure that we are providing the best possible transportation choice available. We do make mistakes, and we are not perfect. This is the defining reason behind our warranty. We all understand that cars are mechanical, and no matter how thoroughly something is examined or serviced, things will still break or go bad. We cannot control this; we can make every attempt to correct an issue once it arises.

4. Even though we are a “Buy-Here Pay-Here”, Express Credit Auto is not reponsible for, nor do we administer the loans offered for vehicles purchased on our lots. We work with a company called Auto Advantage Finance (most current or previous customers will recognize this) and they service the loans issued against the vehicles used as collateral. As a matter of fact, you will never see ECA listed as a lienholder on a title, as a payee on a vehicle payment, etc. This is no different than buying a vehicle from “XYZ Ford”, and having the financing arranged through one of the lenders they work with, such as “ABC Bank”. Auto Advantage Finance (AAF) maintains “branches” if you will, at all four of our locations. The decision to work with you on payments or to “come after your vehicle” is no more under my control than it is yours; the exact same as the experience would be at “XYZ Ford”. Whether or not your vehicle is running properly is of no real consequence to the bank, as it does not change the fact that you would still have scheduled payments due that you promised to make when signing your finance contract. ECA’s concern would obviously be with your vehicle’s condition and getting you back on the road as quickly as possible. While I understand your complaints, I simply feel as if they are being directed at the wrong company. Again, you wouldn’t call “XYZ Ford” and complain to your salesman if you had fallen behind on your payment to “ABC Bank” who financed the vehicle. You would of course call if the vehicle wasn’t running properly. I acknowledge the fact that we have chosen to maintain and establish a close relationship with AAF, and I do take your concerns seriously. I will pass them along to the appropriate personnel within AAF.

Once again, I apologize for any issues that we may have caused, and I invite you to call me at anytime to discuss your concerns further. Thank you.

CarsDirect Review 2016 #auto #care

CarsDirect Review

The CarsDirect site is the most informative and useful of all the online auto loan sites we reviewed. In addition to including the basic features, it puts many helpful tools at your disposal.

The site includes a unique car-searching option. You can browse cars by make and model. The database includes new and used cars of every manufacturer imaginable. After you open a screen to view a car, there will be photo galleries with color options, professional and user reviews, and average costs. This information will help you get a rough idea for pricing quotes on your loan. It also helps you find the car that s perfect for your needs.

After you ve found a car that you re interested in purchasing, take the price quote to the online loan calculator. This will give you basic quotes including monthly payments for your car loan. You can adjust the length of the loan, the final price and all other options to help you figure out your approximate monthly payment. This is simply an estimate and will not necessarily reflect the actual monthly payment, but it will give you an idea of what you can afford while you re shopping.

CarsDirect also offers a trade-in value calculator. This tool will let you know how much a dealer is likely to pay for your car. Again, the price is a simple estimate, not an offer. But this will give you an idea of how much you can expect to get for your trade-in.

You will also be able to create an account with CarsDirect even before you have a loan. This will allow you to save your favorite vehicles and store all the information about loan calculations and trade-in values for future reference. After you ve secured a loan and purchased your vehicle, you ll be able to access your account for payments and all other loan information. This type of account is not available with all online loan providers, but it can be very useful.

Payment Options

There are very few restrictions for loan applications with this service. There are no application fees when filling out an application. The only way you ll have any bills will be if you receive a loan.

Many auto loan companies impose minimum and maximum loan limits. CarsDirect does not have these limits, so you can apply for any amount, no matter how large or small. The amount and terms you qualify for simply depend on your credit history, down payment and current income. Logically, if you have poor credit history and a low monthly income, it s unlikely that you ll receive a six-figure loan. Also, there are no maximum mileage restrictions for the car you purchase.

Security

Our one complaint about CarsDirect is that its web security does not display an extended validation certificate. Many car loan sites advertise this certificate by placing a green bar by the website’s URL in your browser. It’s an easy way to know if a website is secure or not. Despite not having an extended validation certificate, CarsDirect does have one of the strongest site encryptions that we’ve seen in auto loan services, with 256 bit encryption.

Types of Loans

CarsDirect will lend money for the purchase of new and used cars. This is extremely important, as you may not know yet which type of car you d like to purchase. There are even options for refinancing an existing loan. This is particularly common for those who have improved their credit score recently.

You can also use the auto financing service to find vehicles available for leasing. This is not the most common option for the site, but it is available. Keep in mind that auto loan rates will vary from person to person depending on your current financial situation and credit score.

Help & Support

There are many customer service options available with CarsDirect. Our favorite was the chat feature. While we browsed the cars and loan options, we opened the chat window and asked all our questions. The customer service representatives were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and we hardly had to wait at all to have our questions expertly answered. The phone support option also connected very quickly and was a valuable resource. When we sent emails, we received prompt and succinct answers. There are also very detailed and organized databases of frequently asked questions.

It s vital to have an auto lender that responds promptly to questions, complaints and issues. We found the representatives at CarsDirect to be attentive, helpful and very knowledgeable. If you have a question about purchasing a car, we highly recommend using this service.

CarsDirect is the ideal option for those looking to receive a loan to purchase a car or truck. The competitive interest rates and additional features make it a great research tool and lender. The online loan calculator, integrated car search and trade-in calculator are useful options for all auto shoppers.

Car Wax Review: Top 10 Best Car Waxes

Taking care of a car involves more than just diligently delivering it to the mechanic and paying the bills. There are a few procedures that can easily be done at home at a much lower cost. Waxing / polishing your car is one of the easy DIY procedures. It keeps the paint safe from (small amounts of) dirt or bird droppings, and goes a long way towards ensuring your car looks spanking new after years, even generations.

Car wax comes in three different forms – liquid. paste. and spray. each with its own pros and cons. When it comes to durability, liquid wax is considered to be the best, but applying it evenly can be a bit tedious. Paste wax can be applied relatively easily, but it dries very quickly — sometimes too quickly. Spray wax is the easiest car wax to use, and thus is considered ideal for amateur car enthusiasts. Also, spray waxes are highly compatible with plastic. But spray-wax coats are very thin, and hence less effective when it comes to cleaning and durability. Spray waxes are handy if you plan to wax the car every 2-3 weeks; for longer intervals, liquid or paste wax is the better option.

Most waxes are coupled with an applicator; you will hardly ever come across a wax brand which is sold without this add-on. If the specific applicator is not available, sponge is the next best option. Before applying the wax, you need to make sure that you go through car waxing tips and tricks, and get well-versed with the simple ones (e.g. wash and dry your car thoroughly, carry out this task in shade, etc.) before you begin. It is Imperative that you clean and wash the car Thoroughly — the capital I’s and T’s aren’t a misprint — before applying the wax, as even the smallest bit of dirt can wreak havoc with the surface of your car if ignored. The car must be clean and dry before applying the wax. If you are new to polishing, a simple search on Google or YouTube can answer all your questions.

Top 10 Car Waxes

With numerous brands available in the market — each boasting of superiority over the rest — it can be difficult to find out which car wax brand is the best. At the same time, you cannot afford to take the risk of making a mistake while making the choice, as it will directly affect the appearance of your vehicle. In such circumstances, you need to take various factors — the durability and protection offered, the task of applying it, the cost, etc. — into consideration to narrow down to the best. Since different makes and models of cars are made with different materials, it can be tricky to find the wax best for your car. If you have a trustworthy mechanic pal, you could ask for his advice on the best polish for your particular car, since he would know the material used in your vehicle and the best wax for it.

Turtle Wax Carnauba Car Wax T-6

Turtle Wax is considered by most, including Consumer Report. to be the best car wax available in the market, because it is very efficient at cleaning the car, and is also quite inexpensive at $6.44-$10.26. This carnauba (a superior type of palm wax, known as ‘queen of waxes’) wax gives your car a durable water-repellent cover, which makes sure that pollutants don’t end up harming the car surface.

The SSAE 18 Reporting Standard SOC 1 SOC 2 SOC 3 Support and Guidance for SSAE18, SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 reporting standards

Some organizations have heard of SAS 70, SSAE 16. and soon to be SSAE 18. but, don t really know WHY they need to pay to have a bunch of auditors trounce through their company for a month or two during the year, especially right after their financial audit just finished.
The answer is simple: Many companies will not even think about using your company to perform services for them without a clean Type II Report in place.
Some benefits of having an SSAE 16 performed :

  • Ability to perform outsourcing services for Public Companies.
    • If performing financially significant duties for a Public Company, they are required to use a SSAE 16 qualified provider as it is the only way to give investors assurance over controls that are not performed by the Company in question.
  • Public and Private companies are more likely to trust your organization with their data.
    • If you were to trust a company with your data, you would want complete assurance it will be handled with the utmost care
  • A year round accessible knowledge source (your auditors).
    • As a service organization, large or small, you will always have questions regarding your business and having a set of auditors in place with access to a wide array of business knowledge, it will allow you to bounce your questions and concerns off of a group of trusted individuals.
  • A third party to review your controls and activities to ensure they are functioning appropriately, and give advice on how to improve upon them.
    • Sometimes your internal audit department is good, but, not always as stringent as they should be. This will help to serve as a check on their work, as well as your staff. Additionally, if there were any findings noted, your auditors are in a great position to give you some tricks and tips to improve to ensure everything functions well the following period.
  • Improving performance of the organization.
    • Just the knowledge that a review is being performed of an employee s work that can have far reaching consequences for the company as a whole. No more, Oh, I didn t realize that reviewing user access was THAT important to do this month, sorry , now, everyone knows that if it s not done, the success or failure of the organization could rest upon them.

Think of the SSAE 16 or SSAE-18 audit as an annual investment into your company, increasing potential new clients. productivity and accountability .

This tip is focused on designing controls that reflect the process being testing, if they don t, a headache of massive proportions will be created once testing begins.
What do you do to make sure you don t screw this up? Have as many meetings as it takes to get it right.
What you need to do is sit down with the auditors, the department lead, the main employees responsible for performing the process, and anyone else whom could either play a role in testing or modifying the control in the future. Once that is done, Management should discuss what they determined the control to be and how it should operate, that is then reviewed by the auditors, and then the employees performing the tasks should be reconsulted to verify that the control still reflects their process accurately.
Many times people try to speed this process up and half-ass it, leaving many open items which upon testing could easily blow up into a huge problem. When the control isn t 100% agreed upon prior to testing and a deviation is noted, it s a tough call between failing the control and the ability to adjust it to accurately reflect the process. The problem is modifying a control after testing has begun is not proper and needs to be avoided at all costs.
Locking the controls locked down early on could save weeks in wrapping up your new SSAE 16 Report.
We have seen issues like this cause delays in issuing of the report to the client and running additional fees, since adjusting controls isn t free. Coming from the perspective of the auditor, we can let you know the pitfalls, consequences and how to best navigate the audit process. If you have any comments or questions please leave them below!

A SOC 1 Report (System and Organization Controls Report ) is a report on Controls at a Service Organization which are relevant to user entities’ internal control over financial reporting. The SOC1 Report is what you would have previously considered to be the standard SAS70, complete with a Type I and Type II reports, but falls under the SSAE 16 guidance (and soon to be SSAE 18 ).

Please see the following articles discussing the SSAE 16 guidance and additional information related to the SOC 1 (Type I and Type II) Reports:

In addition to the SOC 1 report which is restricted to controls relevant to an audit of a user entity’s financial statements, the SOC 2 and SOC 3 reports have been created to address controls relevant to operations and compliance and will be discussed in further detail in the future.

Please see the SOC 1 Reporting Guide page for additional information.

SSAE 16 is an enhancement to the current standard for Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization, the SAS70. The changes made to the standard will bring your company, and the rest of the companies in the US, up to date with new international service organization reporting standards, the ISAE 3402. The adjustments made from SAS 70 to SSAE 16 will help you and your counterparts in the US compete on an international level; allowing companies around the world to give you their business with complete confidence .

SSAE16 is now effective as of June 15, 2011, and if you have not made the necessary adjustments required, now is the time to find a quality provider to discuss the proper steps. All organizations are now required to issue their Service Auditor Reports under the SSAE 16 standards in an SOC 1 Report.

The soon to be effective, SSAE-18. is expected to follow a similar reporting structure to the SSAE-16 within a SOC 1 report.

Who Needs an SSAE 16 (SOC 1 ) Audit?

If your Company (the Service Organization ) performs outsourced services that affect the financial statements of another Company (the User Organization ), you will more than likely be asked to provide an SSAE16 Type II Report, especially if the User Organization is publicly traded.
Some example industries include:

  • Payroll Processing
  • Loan Servicing
  • Data Center /Co-Location/Network Monitoring Services
  • Software as a Service (SaaS )
  • Medical Claims Processors

What you Need to Know:

Before starting the SSAE 16 process, there are a number of considerations one must take into account that can save considerable time, effort, and money in the long run. Use the following items as a mini checklist for yourself:

  • Does my Company need an SSAE16, or, are we doing it just because someone asked?
  • Reports on the low end can run at least $15,000 a year, will the business lost be less of a burden than the cost of the report itself?
  • Does your company have defined Business Process and IT controls in place, or, will you need assistance developing and implementing them (readiness assessment)?
  • Have you determined the controls in place which affect the outsourced services being provided?
  • Have key stakeholders been defined and included in discussions?

There are many other issues to consider before engaging a CPA firm to help with your SSAE 16, for a more detailed checklist please see The SSAE 16 Checklist

You may have heard SSAE-18 is on the horizon for reports issued as of May 1, 2017. There are some important updates discussed in here: SSAE-18 An Update to SSAE-16 .

As the standard is formalized and the date approaches we will continue to provide more information to help you prepare for these changes.

This is the worst insurance company with whom I have ever done business. I purchased a business liability policy through this company. They write up the policy with a low premium amount to be competitive against other quotes. Then they audit you after the policy expired and slap a huge audit payment. At this point you are stuck with it and you cannot do anything to deal with it, like go to another insurance company. I now have insurance for my business with a different company and the premium is less than half what I paid for one from NEK insurance. Beware of this evil company and their lying business practices.

This place is not for people with Diabetes. Why? The nurses of the doctor have no intention to help you. If your blood glucose levels are not better with each appointment, they get on your case so badly, it s pathetic. Another thing I hate about this place is, where in the world is the doctor most of the time? He only comes in when his nurses say that something s wrong. My advice: if you have diabetes and need to see a doctor, ANY doctor is much better than nurses that technically scream in your face when your blood glucose isn t expected levels and a doctor that s not even there 85% of the time. I HATE pricking my finger for blood glucose; I rather take a urine test, at least that is painless and doesn t violent a certain spiritual being s Temple. The ONLY reason that this place deserves 2 stars is because the ease of making appointments and that s all. Stay away from here if you re diabetic.

ADT Smoke Detector

3 Things An ADT Smoke Detector Does That Yours Doesn’t

In the United States, the percentage of people who die from house fires is more than the number of people who die from other natural calamities. In most of the situations; the fire break happened in the middle of the night so that the people were unaware of the situation. Usually, when a fire breaks, people detect it by sensing the smell of smoke. If the fire breaks during the daytime, it is easy to sense and do something about it. But what if it breaks during the night and nobody is aware of it. The use of ADT smoke detectors is crucial in such situation.

Here is a glance at the good and bad of using an ADT Smoke alarm system:

  • Connected through a monitoring station and local fire department
  • Mobile alerts directly to your phone or email
  • Great peace of mind for trips and at night
  • Higher quality equipment then standard OEM smoke detectors
  • Monitoring fee
  • Professional installation required typically
  • Not compatible with most other security systems

What is an ADT smoke detector?

Adt wireless alarm review

It is yet another innovative invention which is one of the highly used home security devices that senses smoke. Smoke usually can be an alarm of a nearby fire, and it is better if you can detect it early. Smoke detector senses smoke and alarm you with the help of a fire alarm system so that you get enough time to do what is required. Finally, smoke detectors usually come in a small disk shape and have two basic parts: a smoke sensor and an alarm system with loud noise.

How does an ADT smoke detector work?

To study the working of ADT smoke detectors, you need to know about different types of smoke detectors. There are, mainly 2 types of detectors namely photoelectric and ionization smoke detectors. Photoelectric detectors make use of photobeam detector, and when the light sensors in the detector get blocked by smoke, the alarm is triggered. Whereas the ionization detector is a less expensive version and it has an entirely different mechanism than the optical version. Ionization detectors use electric current to trigger the alarm. When smoke blocks the current, the alarm gets triggered. Ionization detectors provide better response to flaming fires, and photoelectric detectors provide quick response to smoldering fires. Smoke detectors are really inexpensive considering the cost due to fire damage, so you can install both types of detectors in your home to ensure maximum safety.

The ADT burglar system can be armed in either “Away” or “Stay” mode and once you activate the mode; each zone gets the ability to recognize a violation of the already set preference. If the area is violated, the system soon dials ADT monitoring service and transmits the message immediately through a telephone line. When the signal is received at ADT, the security system will wait to send another message if another zone is violated. If you want to enter the process, you can enter the code and turn off the device.

If you want to purchase a home security system from ADT, you can also opt for carbon monoxide detectors along with smoke detectors.

Installation and maintenance of ADT smoke detectors

Are easy to install, and they work with a different wireless protocol than your home Wi-Fi network. You cannot either use this network for your PC applications nor will ADT access your home Wi-Fi network. Or you can also get ADT’S security services for two systems with a single account at the same time. You can easily monitor one or more locations even when you are away from both the locations with the same ADT login. The ADT security system is designed in such a way that it takes control of your telephone line whenever there is a fire alarm trigger to call the ADT customer service.

You need not disable the smoke detector installed in the kitchen while cooking even if a false alarm is triggered. Instead, you can let the smoke out of the window by opening it and can press hush button present on your detector.

It is recommended to test your ADT smoke detector every month to ensure they are working perfectly. You must change the batteries at least once in a year depending on the type of detector you have. Make sure that you read the instruction manual clearly to find out the expiry date of batteries and the right time to change them. When the battery goes weak; the system will show you low battery alerts on the keyboard display so that you will know when it needs replacing. Also, it will be clearly mentioned in the manufacture’s manual when to replace the detectors. You can easily order replacement batteries directly from ADT by consulting the customer service team.

Where to install smoke detector?

The position of installation of the ADT smoke detector is equally important to increase the security of your home. For effective protection, it is recommended installing smoke detectors on every level of your house including the basement. As most of the home fires start at night, it is safe to install detectors both indoor and outdoor. The crucial areas where the fire is about to start are kitchen and garages, so you should never leave out those areas. The best position to install smoke detectors is on the ceilings or somewhere near to the ceilings because smoke has a normal tendency to rise quickly and it is easier to detect.

3 Things that this does that your standard smoke alarm doesn’t do:

Adt wireless alarm review

Although there are many different smoke detectors to choose from, choosing one form ADT can benefit you in many ways. Here are 3 things an ADT smoke detector does that yours doesn’t.

1. Help from ADT’s Customer Monitoring Centers in case of emergency

In the case of normal smoke detectors; it triggers the smoke alarm system and alerts you in the case of any fore break. But this product will alert you and ADT’s Customer Monitoring Center at the same time about the emergency that happened in your house. Once the alert reaches the customer center, you will receive a call from the center to verify the alarm, and they will inform the local fire department, and you get immediate help.

2. Ensures constant protection even in your absence

The ADT fire monitoring unit will ensure continued protection for your home even when you are out of town. Even if you are out of town, when the self-installed fire detector triggers an alarm, customer service team will make sure that required emergency response is provided.

3. Email and text notification

ADT gives you many monetary benefits including receiving notification by email or s text messages in case of any emergency. If the ADT smoke sensor or carbon monoxide sensor triggers an alarm; ADT team will send you a text message to your smartphone or as an email notifying the situation. Users will also have the facility to control the alarm systems remotely either from a smartphone or PC via the Internet.

Our conclusion

Purchasing a monitored ADT smoke detector for improving your home security system will help you to keep your family safe from any kind of fire emergencies whenever you are at home or out of the home. Some of the useful features of the smoke detector are 24/7 monitoring; quick response, fully personalized version for your house, emergency buttons, specific zone activation and insurer discounts. It is also important to teach your children about basic fire safety principles and how to apply them in the case of emergencies. Make them aware of how to avoid fire and the measures to be taken in case of any fires.

2017 Nissan Sentra vs. 2017 Toyota Corolla Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Toyota Corolla than the Nissan Sentra, due to its greater head- and legroom. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the Toyota Corolla, the Nissan Sentra may be a little roomier and more comfortable for the driver and front seat passengers.

Convenience
You’ll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Nissan Sentra as you will with the Toyota Corolla, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Nissan Sentra will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Toyota Corolla. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it’s built. The Nissan Sentra and the Toyota Corolla have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
The Nissan Sentra is about the same width as the Toyota Corolla. When looking at overall length, the Nissan Sentra takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Toyota Corolla.

Drivetrain
With similar torque, the Nissan Sentra and the Toyota Corolla do an equal job of transmitting their engine’s power to their wheels.

Handling
The Nissan Sentra has a smaller turning radius than the Toyota Corolla, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The Nissan Sentra has less horsepower than the Toyota Corolla, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Utility
In terms of seating you’ll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Nissan Sentra and the Toyota Corolla. The Nissan Sentra has a roomier cargo area for holding your bags or other items than the Toyota Corolla.

Warranty
The Nissan Sentra comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Toyota Corolla.

Ford Focus

Ford Focus

A former favorite that’s starting to fade.

2017 Ford Focus Ford Focus 2017 3.0 1.0 5.0

Overview: A 10Best Cars winner in 2012 and 2013, Ford’s third-generation Focus is now merely a competent small car that is starting to show its age among a set of fresher rivals. The current Focus sedan and hatchback have been around since the 2012 model year without major changes, leaving it behind many competitors in terms of available technology. Although the broader lineup includes an electric version, the Focus Electric, and two hot-hatch variants, the ST and the RS, we’re covering only the standard Focus sedan and hatch here.

The Focus offers a choice of two engines: a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four and a turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder that’s designed for better fuel economy. The 1.0-liter is now offered only in the sedan, and it sacrifices some oomph to earn EPA highway ratings of up to 40 mpg. Trim levels start with the bare-bones S sedan, while the SE, SEL, and Titanium offer more equipment commensurate with increased price tags. The hatchback body style costs about $500 more than the sedan, a modest premium given its extra measure of practicality.

What’s New: Ford has simplified the Focus lineup, eliminating certain configurations, including our favorite, the hatchback with the 2.0-liter engine and a manual transmission. In fact, save for the enthusiast-oriented ST and RS models, the Focus hatchback is now automatic-only, and it’s no longer offered with the more efficient turbo 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine. The SEL trim level is a new addition for the hatch, slotting in between the SE and Titanium models.

What We Like: The Focus remains one of the more fun-to-drive cars in its segment, with quick steering and a responsive, well-balanced chassis. It’s refined, too, with a composed ride and a relatively isolated interior that make it feel more expensive than it is.

We think the clean exterior styling has aged well against extroverted new competition such as the latest Honda Civic. The available Sync 3 touchscreen infotainment system is refreshingly easy to use, with well-organized menus and large onscreen buttons. Sync 3, which is standard on SEL and Titanium trim levels, also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.

What We Don’t Like: Neither of the Focus’s powertrains are particularly inspiring. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder is not as punchy as the turbo fours available in many competitors, while the tiny turbo 1.0-liter three-cylinder is overmatched by the Focus’s size, requiring more than 9.0 seconds to get the car to 60 mph when equipped with the manual transmission and more than 10.0 seconds when paired with the optional automatic. We’re also not sold on the six-speed dual-clutch automatic that pairs with the 2.0-liter engine on most models. Although Ford has smoothed its operation over the years, it shifts slowly, eliminating any discernible advantage over a conventional automatic transmission while still displaying the sometimes clunky low-speed behavior common among dual-clutch gearboxes.

The Focus resides on the smaller end of its segment, and its interior feels cramped. The rear seat is tight for adults, and, even in the hatchback, cargo space is less than generous. Few active-safety features are available, and the ones that are—namely blind-spot monitoring and lane-departure warning—come only as part of a $795 option package on the top Titanium trim level, meaning you’ll pay more than $25,000 for a Focus so equipped.

Verdict: As it ages, the Focus slides farther down the compact-car totem pole.

Poor service

On May 26, 2010 I purchased 2 ball joints MEVOTECT MK9643 from www.rockauto.com and I installed them on my 2000 Honda Accord. Shortly after the ball joints were installed, I noticed that the ball joint boots were falling off. I then ordered another pair of ball joints from www.rockauto.com on Aug 2, 2010. On October 11 I had my car by my mechanic and had him change the ball joints. While the car was on the lift, I gave the 2 new ball joints to the worker, and he told me that the boots were cracked on the new ball joints. I then purchased a pair of ball joints from the local supply shop. I now have 4 defective Mevotech ball joints which I paid for, plus shipping, and I had to pay my mechanic twice to change them. In addition I had to pay for the two ball joints from the local supply shop.

I do order from Rockauto.com because they offer a better price on most items. I have placed already 18 orders. Out of the 18 orders I had problems with 6. That is 1 out of 3 orders. Usually Rockauto.com is able to reach a satisfying silution. But in this case, I feel I should not have to pay not a penny, when I have recieved 4 defective parts, whether it was within 30 days, or 60 days.

That is 1 out of 3 orders bad. Beware when ordering. I do not mind ordering items for myself, but for my friends, I let them order from more reliable places. So far Rockauto has resolved all the issues, except this time I should not have to pay a penny for this problem.

Rockauto.com offered to refund me for the items, but I would have to pay the return shipping, and I would not get my original shipping refunded. Here is where I draw the line Rockauto, and I wanted people to know what they may go through.

I ve needed them 3 times. 1. replace garbage disposal 2. replace kitchen sink fixture 3. replace shower valve Each time they have showed up friendly and completely the work quickly. I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done.

Awesome! Called in, got same day service, rate charged was exactly what was estimated, and the service person was friendly and a cool guy! Swapped out my garbage disposal for a great rate with great service!

Have had Toms out 3 times: 1st time at my old house to bid on a pressure regulator and fix a leaky faucet. Told me the cost and they would have to come back to do it and turned off the water to the leaky faucet. It took me 4 phone calls and 3 weeks to get them back out. Thinking it was a fluke, called them to do some work on my new house. Gave them a couple of things to fix and a couple of things to assess to determine if it needed to be repaired. They were there 45 minutes, told me everything was great with the hot water heater and left. 6 hours later the hot water heater busted and flooded a room. I ve spent $$$ on fixing what Toms plumbing should have clearly seen.

Yeah! Great plumber! We needed 2 low flow toilets from the City of Arlington installed. (We just moved into a new home). Tom s was able to give us a direct quote ($95 initial + each additional 1/4 hr. pretty standard) over the phone. Ernie s Plumbing refused to give a quote over the phone citing, Well, you never know until you pull the commode to see what kind of problems there could be. Larry Stinson Plumbing gave me a quote of a total price $280. So, I went with Tom s. Prompt service, on time arrival, sent 2 men to do the job, total cost $165. We will be calling them again for our future plumbing needs.

We had a backed up sewer line for two days. Our regular guy didn t show, so I called Tom s and they had a crew out in less than two hours (and it was snowing). They cleared the blockage in no time, and were on their way. Reasonably priced at $120.00. I m calling them first, next time.

Had a simple problem with the toilet. Accidentally dropped a casing of a pen in the toilet which caused the septic tank not to fill. I called him and told him all it needed was a closet auger, or a snake to correct the problem. He said he d be happy to take care of it. I asked him how much? He said $92. So he did come like he said he would, pretty prompt, within 2 hours, took him about 40 mins to complete. Then i get a phone call (being at work) and my wife tells me he is charging $142. I asked to speak to him on the phone, and said why its went from $92 to $142. He says he had to change a flapper. Ok – I m at work and $50 is not going to make me poor so I told my wife to just pay. But honestly, Tom s Plumbing is crooked. There are plenty of other places who charge $80-100 per hour, so I would stay away because his intentions to cheat the customer speaks volumes.

Just recently developed a hotwater leak. Tom s sent someone out on-time in a coupla hours after my phonecall. It was determined we had a slab leak and we arranged to have it repaired. They have their own team that does slab leak repairs – not sub-contracted, and they finished up the next day. My wife and I had some sweeping and a little minor mopping to do, but in general the workmen were very clean and professional. Everyone, from the gentleman answering the phone to the repair guy was patient and knowledgeable. The actual price was competitive as quoted but ended up even less! I would highly recommend Tom s and will use them for any future plumbing work.

Schumacher SpeedCharge SC-10030A Review

PROS / This car battery charger is compatible with all types of automotive batteries and recharges batteries quickly. It is easy to operate and has great safety features.

CONS / You have to plug it into a power socket and there are no additional power outlets.

259.00 amps

Features

The SpeedCharge SC-10030A is a microprocessor controlled unit that features push button controls and a digital display, making it easy to select which options you need. This car battery booster includes battery- and alternator-testing functions, which can show how much charge remains in the battery and if the problem lies with your vehicle’s alternator. The digital display clearly shows the voltage you ve selected to jump or charge a battery with among other information.

The SC-10030A can charge nearly every battery type, and you can set the battery charger to regular, deep-cycle, AGM or gel-cell battery charging, as well as set the maximum charge rate at slow or fast. This charger does not include any additional power outlets or a work light, but the SC-10030A is meant more for shop or garage use rather than a portable power source.

This auto battery booster includes a 100-amp jumpstart option for those emergencies when you need a quick start. You can select the engine start feature if you or someone else is ever in need of a quick jump and connect the charger to the vehicle battery. You have to have this charger plugged into a power socket, so you will have to either have the vehicle within extension cord range or in your garage or shop to jump-start it.

The Schumacher SpeedCharge SC-100030A automatic battery charger uses a cooling fan to keep the unit from overheating and overworking itself. The charger’s microprocessor monitors the heat output and controls the fan to disperse the excess heat. It is important to note that the fan does not operate if the charger is set to Tester mode, so you will need to monitor the charger while testing.

Charging Options

The SC-10030A is not only a speedy charger but a smart charger as well. Its fully automatic microprocessing unit and automatic multi-stage charging system help this battery booster charge quickly and efficiently. After it analyzes your battery, the SC-10030A goes through a series of charge phases, including desulphation, absorption, bulk charging and float mode.

This battery charger gives you the option of a slow, 2-amp charge or a fast charge between 12 to 30 amps. The 2-amp, trickle-charge option slowly and steadily recharges smaller batteries, such as a scooter or moped battery, without overcharging and damaging it, while the 12 to 30 amp option is great if you need a quick charge or to keep a larger battery in peak condition. The average charge time of a battery connected to the SpeedCharge is anywhere from one to five and a half hours, depending on how much, if any, power is remaining at the beginning of the charge.

Battery Compatibility

The SpeedCharge SC-10030A can handle and recharge almost every type of 6- or 12-volt battery, including Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) and gel cell batteries. This battery booster is compatible with any vehicle used for travel or recreation; you can hook up this dependable charger to the battery in tractors, motorcycles, snowmobiles, cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs and boats. It also includes a deep-cycle, battery-charge option for any vehicle that uses a deep-cycle battery instead of a normal starter battery.

Safety Features

This car battery booster includes a variety of safety measures to ensure your protection while a battery is connected. The jumper cable clamps are spark resistant and the cables themselves are insulated, reducing the possibility of fire hazard. You can charge your battery either removed from or still in a vehicle.

You won’t have to worry about connecting the cables to the wrong post as the SC-10030A features a reverse polarity protection function. The charger detects if you hook up the cables to the wrong post and won’t work until you have correctly attached the cables. This is extremely helpful if you are working in dim lighting or are unable to find the positive and negative markings on the battery. You also don’t have to worry about overcharging as this car battery charger automatically shuts off when the battery is fully charged; protecting the battery and the unit from overheating.

Portability

Due to its compact size, the SC-10030A can be easily stored, whether it s on a shelf in your garage or inside your car under a seat or in a storage compartment. The unit includes a built-in handle for easy carrying and handling, with two cord-wrap cleats located on the rear of the unit for storing the seven-foot long jumper cables and clamps. This feature helps keep the insulated cables neatly tucked away while not in use. The SpeedCharge SC-10030A weighs just over 14 pounds and is easy to lift and position.

Summary

If you re looking for an all-around strong performance from a battery charger, the Schumacher SpeedCharge SC-10030A automatic battery charger is a great choice. This battery booster’s quick charging rates, efficient microprocessor control and safety features make it one of the best car battery chargers available.

Skoda Superb estate: car review

Price: from 19,785

Top speed: 129mph

0-62mph: 9.9 seconds

“What’s the best car you’ve driven?” It’s a question I am often asked and I know the answer I am supposed to give.

Will not Honor Claim

United Automobile Insurance Company

July 19, 2008, I was pumping gas at Valero Gas Station located on the corner of John West and La Prada Road when a van struck the front end of my 2008 Hyundai Tucson. Due to the damage only being scratches I opted to not make a police report because the damage was minimal and I only asked for a copy of his insurance card. Two weeks later I went to Bankston Dealership located on NWHGWY and Abrams for my estimate which came to a total of $368.51.

Debra at United Automobile is supposedly handling my claim number. Overall the entire staff that I have spoken with about this claim seems uninterested in resolving this and has not made any attempts to get the ball rolling with processing my claim. I even mentioned that I would contact my insurance State Farm to let them know what was happening and Debra commented that it wouldn t do me any good because the estimate is under $500 and my policy probably has a $500 deductible. After listening to her make this statement I became gravely concerned that this Insurance Company is not diligent with taking care of claims in a proper manner.

I am forwarding this information to the public in hopes of exposing this company for how it handles claims. From what I have been through with them they come across as very mismanaged and unprofessional. Even though my damages are $368.51, it is the principal of the matter to honor the claim filed and pay for the damages. If anyone can get this company feathers ruffled I know it s the free press! Your help is much appreciated!

Guide to New Car Price Quote Sites

Last Modified: November 14, 2015 by Jeff Ostroff | Originally Published July 28, 2000

How Free Car Pricing Services Work

CarBuyingTips.com recommends using a referral service which can help you find the best car prices available. They are able to do this using a network of thousands of dealers that are more likely to operate without tricks, pricing gimmicks or scams. Member dealers get a high volume of referrals from the services so they give a better price. Quotes are different for each site, so get a consensus. Hard to get cars might not have a large discount. Spend a few minutes now getting your quotes, save a few thousand dollars later. Your ability to negotiate the best price with the dealer depends on your quotes from these sources. Keep them in The Folder that you bring to the dealer.

Descriptions and Reviews of Price Quote Services

TrueCar

You can print out a Guaranteed Savings Certificate that will lock in your price when you take it to the TrueCar certified dealer. This price will be a good price but if you really want to negotiate the rock bottom price you will need to use all of our negotiating tips and shop multiple dealerships.

TrueCar is the perfect service if you want to get a good price without all the haggling. You won’t get any unwanted calls from dealerships and you won’t be harassed with spam. Cars.com

Cars.com gives you free, no-obligation new car quotes from up to 3 local car dealers. You choose your new car model, style, colors and options. Getting quotes from multiple dealers pressures dealers to give you a discount. The process is very simple. I like the fact that they let you select the dealerships that will give you a quote. That way if there is one in your area with a bad reputation you can avoid dealing with them. On the flip side you can make sure to get a price from a dealership that you have a positive impression of.

Edmunds

Edmunds gives you no-hassle and no-obligation FREE price quotes. You can view actual dealer inventory and prices in your area. Find the right car for you at lowest prices available. If you are aware of a secret factory to dealer incentive on your car, you can negotiate a lower price. This is why invoice price is not the true dealer cost. Keep in mind Edmunds is a free site, so often you have outdated or incomplete information. That’s why we like Fighting Chance for the most accurate data.

CarBuyingTips.com Car Buying Service

Part of how I put myself through college was with a part time pest control job, so I know a little more than your average homeowner. I was using another company that was average before using Diligent and the technician was friendly enough, but when I met the owner and he explained how they approach the process with environmentally friendly materials and an outside only treatment I wanted to give them a chance. I can tell you that my experience is much better with Diligent. Not only have they practically eliminated any signs of bugs in my home, they have not had to apply any treatments inside my home. We have seen a steady improvement as time has gone by as well. The owner is responsive and knowledgeable and his technicians are friendly and do their job well. While no company or person is perfect, Diligent has come as close as I can hope for in a Pest Control company and I would sincerely recommend trying Diligent for your Pest Control needs.

No more bugs thanks to quality and efficient service. If you want your home pest free make sure to contact them.

Hired company to treat back and side yard lawn, trees and plants that were healthy and bushy. Three months later, everything is dead! They came back out and said weed killer must have been applied but said they didnt do it (they were the ONLY company treating the property) Took 7 years to create tropical, lush backyard and only 3 months for Diligent to kill it! Company has no interest in taking any blame or offering me any assistance

Comment from Hu M. of Diligent Pest Control
Business Owner

We have responded immediately to every phone call or email you have sent to us. We do not run… Philip,

We have responded immediately to every phone call or email you have sent to us. We do not run the other way when there are issues at hand. However; in good conscience I can take responsibility for something we did not do. We understand good practices and being a small business we appreciate all of our customers, we truly do.

I do understand your frustration and it is not my intent to sound immune to your issue. I provided you the active ingredients for the product we used to give you a better understanding.

You hired us on 11/1/12 ask asked if we could provide better results than you were currently experiencing with another company. We performed one spray treatment and then a follow-up visit weeks later.

It was a spray-only application using an Imidacloprid. In February, you contacted us about some growing concerns and provided images. Based on the images I advised you I could not determine but it looked as if somebody misapplied a weed killer or overferitlized. Both products were never used by us for your treatment. If so, it would have been coded differently on your account and your costs would have been significantly more.

All of our technicians are certified and trained by the Universairty of Florida. We take pride in our service and providing the best training practices for all of our technicians.

Philip, I want to help you and it would be wonderful to make an unhappy customer happy again; however, I cannot just tell you we did something we did not do for the sake of that. You hired us to replace a company and we performed one service that included an initial treatment and a follow-up.

We haven t been doing your property for years or even 6 months. We did not monitor your property or conduct multiple treatments. It would be very difficult to pinpoint the exact issue, but like I said in our previous conversation it looks as if fertilizer was misused and/or weed killer. It could have been another company, could have been an honest mistake by the homeowner. I just know it wasn t us and not because you have an issue 5 months later after one treatment, but because we would have set up your account and your charges would have been exponentially more had we used said products such as fertilizer or a weed killer on your property. I have begun using Liquid Glass since Spring ’02 on the recomendation of a friend. Initially I was put off by the $18 price at Autozone, but I soon discovered it worth. Besides being the best product money can buy, a little goes a long ways. One bottle will be good for MANY coats.

I have been detailing my family’s and my own cars since 1995. I have used products from Turtle Wax, Meguires, Nu Finish, Blue Coral, Eagle One, Rain-X, 3M, and Mother’s. Before I used Liquid Glass, I prefered 3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compound to remove old wax, road tar, and fine scratches. Nu Finish was the main choice as a polish because it lasted long and gave a good shine.

I first used Liquid Glass in ’02 on my 1996 Crown Vic LX and helped my friend do his 1990 Nissan 300ZX. We preped both cars first with 3M Fine Cut rubbing compound with an orbital buffer, then rewashed both cars. This is absolutely a must. You can not apply liquid Glass to a car with an old wax still applied. This step of prebuffing/wax removal will deter most people from using Liquid Glass.

After preping the cars, we then applied the LG to the cars with back and forth motions. After the LG dried, we wiped of the LG with terry cloths, then buffed the cars with the orbital buffer, then hand buffed the cars with a buffing mitt.

By now it was 3:00. We let the cars bake in the sun which is also a must. This cures the LG.

My friends ’90 300ZX was already in good condition only having 48,000 mileson a 12 year old car. But the outcome on the paint was like nite and day. The paint looked 3 inches thick. Being Aztec Red, the car looked hot!

My Vic is metalic silver and it never had looked this good before. I have had people offer me cash at gas stations for my ’96 Vic because it looked showroom clean. They could not belive the mirror like reflection of the overhead lights at the gas station gleaming off the hood and trunk.

Plus at nite, the hood of any car with LG will act like a mirror and you can see street lamps, neon signs, passing cars reflecting off your hood. I even read a license plate off a truck in front of me while driving reflected off my hood.

The touch test proved the product was excellent. The cars felt like silk. After a month though, the feel faded a little, but this is normal. Two applications initially is needed. A second application a month after the first is optimal. Then the vehicle is set for the year.

I have applied LG on my grandfather’s 2000 Silverado LS, Grandmother’s ’01 Grand Marquis LS, Mom’s ’03 Tahoe LT, and my Dad’s ’95 Z-71.

The results were all amazing. After conditioning each vehicle woth the 3M compound and two or three coats of LG, my family says they get more complements now than ever before on their “clean rides”.

LG is also excellent on chrome, much better than Turtle Wax Chrome Polish. The shine is unbelivable.

Fellow car nuts, this is a “must have product”.

My husband and I recently inherited a unique chair from his Grandmother, and it was by no means the most aesthetically beautiful or comfortable piece. His Mother s family immigrated to the USA from Poland in the 1960 s. This armchair was part of a German-made three-piece set that was their family s first major furniture purchase for their home in America. My Dad recommended Giovanne Lanera to reupholster the chair. As soon as we met, I trusted that he was going to do an excellent job bringing this chair back to life. He is very knowledgable in the topic of Mid-century furniture design/construction, and made informed recommendations on fabrics based on their durability, but that would present the chair genuinely to it s era. After selecting a fabric, Giovanne got to work and the finished product far surpassed my expectations. The craftsmanship is amazing! He completely recreated the worn chair into something that is equal parts modern/trendy conversation piece, yet still maintains it s old-world authenticity and craftsmanship. It instantly became my favorite piece of furniture in our home, and we receive frequent compliments about it from our friends and family. It means so much to us to have been able to revive such a beautiful piece of furniture that holds so many childhood memories; complete with the dent in the armrest caused my husband and his cousin s best five-year old rendition of Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior (which may have ended in a stitch or two). We are looking forward to enjoying the armchair for many years to come.

Discover Student Credit Card Review 2016

by CreditCardForum Staff

Getting your first credit card as a college student may not be easy. In fact, because students often have a limited credit history, the cards aimed at them aren t usually the best when it comes to rewards. However the Discover student cards are different. Here are three reasons why

Reason #1: Way better rewards

There are two Discover cards designed for students: Discover it for Students and Discover it chrome for students. Here s what the Discover it® for Students is giving for rewards

  • 5 percent cash back in categories. You get new categories every quarter that you can sign up for.
  • 1 percent on everything else. You will always get at least 1 percent on everything else you buy.

As for the Discover it® chrome for Students, it s offering:

  • A permanent 2 percent cash back on up to $1,000 in spending each quarter on combined gas station and restaurant purchases
  • 1 percent cash back on all other purchases

Reason #2: More benefits than most student cards

Both Discover student cards offer the following

  • Purchase Protection. In my opinion this is one of the most useful credit card benefits. With it, the eligible purchases made with your Discover card are protected for the first 90 days against theft or accidental damage, up to $500 in coverage per purchase.
  • Extended Product Warranty. On eligible purchases, Discover gives you an additional year of coverage on your existing warranty of 36 months or less. So let s say you buy something, like a brand new iPad from the Apple store, that comes only with a one-year manufacturer s warranty. In addition to that, you will have one year extra through Discover for no additional cost.
  • Return Protection. Ever try to return something but the store won t take it back because more than 30 days have gone by since the purchase? The nice thing about this benefit is that you can return any qualifying purchase to Discover within 90 days for up to a $500 refund, even if the store won t take it back. Keep in mind though that just like any return, you have to give back the item in like-new condition.
  • $0 Fraud Liability Guarantee. Don t worry about getting scammed, because if your card or account number is ever used fraudulently, you won t be responsible for those charges.

Reason #3: The fees are fair

  • No annual fee. Yep that s right, you get all the above benefits for no additional cost.
  • No over-limit fee. You won t get charged a fee if you go over your credit limit.
  • No foreign transaction fees. Many credit cards will charge you up to 3 percent extra when making purchases outside the U.S. That goes for purchases made when you are physically outside the U.S. but sometimes also for purchases you make online from overseas merchants. With Discover, however, you can use your card anywhere in the world without paying those fees (assuming the merchant accepts Discover).
  • No pay-by-phone fee. Need to make a payment by phone using your checking account? Some cards will charge you $5 or $10 bucks to do this, but not Discover.
  • Free FICO score on your monthly statement. This card gives you your real FICO score from TransUnion on your monthly statements. Considering the fact that you probably got a credit card to build your credit, being able to monitor your progress for free is a huge perk. That score would otherwise cost you $20 every time you check it.
  • No late fee on your first late payment. Normally, late payments can cost you up to $35 a pop. But with this card, at least you get one freebie. That s definitely helpful during college finals when you may forget.
  • No interest rate increases for paying late. A lot of cards will jack up your APR if you ever pay late. This one won t do that.

Compare the student credit cards for yourself

Worried about your card not being accepted? Discover is accepted at more than 94 percent of the top 2,000 internet retailers and more than 8 million businesses. You can use them almost everywhere that takes Visa and MasterCard.

Best Sign-up Offers (updated January 2016)

You won t find these promotions everywhere, but I m listing both here so you can choose the one that s best for your needs.

Discover it® for Students:
Offer #1: Get a 0 percent intro APR for 6 months on purchases. After that, it s a standard variable purchase APR of 13.24 percent to 22.24 percent.

Discover it® chrome for Students:

Oh yeah, and here s some important advice you not know about credit cards. In fact, a lot of old people don’t even know these things:

#1 – Build credit even without a balance
One of the reasons people start getting into debt is because they think it’s actually good for their credit score to have a balance. But this is completely wrong and doing so can actually harm your credit!

There is a huge difference between carrying a balance (allowing a balance to carry on past the due date and paying interest) and reporting a balance (having a balance when your billing cycle closes). When your billing cycle closes each month, the amount due is what’s reported to the credit bureaus. If you then pay that reported balance in full, you won t have to pay interest, and you ll get all the credit-building benefits.

So if you are regularly using your Discover card, you have the ability to build your credit… carrying a balance into the next billing cycle (and paying interest on it) offers absolutely no benefit to your credit score.

#2 – Carrying a large balance may hurt your credit
Even though you should let a balance report each month, keep it small.

The percentage of your credit limit you use – known as credit utilization – is factored into your FICO credit score. Having high utilization is actually bad. Banks like people that have a lot of credit but don’t use it! With the FICO formula, using above 30 percent of your credit limit may negatively affect your credit core.

The simple solution? Once you get your student credit card, always stay below 30 percent of your credit limit. Make multiple payments each month to keep it below that mark.

#3 – A better score means cheaper student loans
Let’s be honest here… college tuition is out of control! If you’re going to be taking out more loans to finish your degree, of course you want to get the best interest rate possible. Well, whether you get a good rate or bad rate depends on your credit score and history.

This is why it’s so important to not screw up with your new Discover student credit card, or any credit account for that matter. Use your cards responsibly – pay your bills on time and in full, and keep your credit utilization in check (as discussed above). Doing this will help build up your credit and you will be thankful for that when it comes time to get a loan.

What should be weighted? What matters more, debt load or NIH grant funding? Having two lists – research and primary care – deals with this problem a little, but it also points out where weaknesses reside.

2017 Toyota Tacoma vs. 2017 Toyota Tundra Review

Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater head- and legroom, passengers in the extended cab will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Toyota Tundra than in the Toyota Tacoma. As far as headroom and legroom go, there’s not much difference between the Toyota Tacoma and the Toyota Tundra.

Convenience
You’ll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Toyota Tacoma as you will with the Toyota Tundra, as they can travel a similar number of miles on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Clearly, the Toyota Tacoma is a better financial choice over the Toyota Tundra, when considering MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it’s built. The Toyota Tacoma carries a much lower Destination Charge than the Toyota Tundra.

Dimensions
Since the Toyota Tacoma is much slimmer than the Toyota Tundra, it’ll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Toyota Tacoma, you’ll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Toyota Tundra.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Toyota Tacoma doesn’t do as good a job transmitting horsepower to its wheels as the Toyota Tundra.

Handling
The Toyota Tacoma has a smaller turning radius than the Toyota Tundra, allowing you to more easily get in and out of tight spots.

Performance
If you’ve got something you need to tow, the Toyota Tacoma will do just as well as the Toyota Tundra, since they have about the same towing capacity. The Toyota Tacoma has a little less horsepower than the Toyota Tundra.

Utility
The Toyota Tacoma has less seating than the Toyota Tundra, making the Toyota Tundra the better choice if you often have passengers.

Warranty
The Toyota Tacoma comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Toyota Tundra.

Compare the 2017 Toyota Tacoma and the 2017 Toyota Tundra.

Viper 5901 Review

Viper car alarms give you a whole new level of control and ability to monitor your car, and all from a small remote. The remote has an easily readable LCD screen that will alert you to whatever is happening to your car. For example, if the car s door is opened, the remote will alert you with a beeping noise and text on the screen will read, Door Open. You can also see what level of auto security your car has from the remote. It will tell you if the engine is running, if the doors are locked and when the car security system is armed.

Viper car alarms have all the basic door and starter alarm functions. If someone breaks a window or opens the door, the alarm will sound and you will be notified via the alarm. Also, whenever the car is bumped too hard the alarm will sound. However, Viper takes things a step further and has some terrific and innovative features.

Because so many vehicles now have car security systems, thieves have become more resourceful. Often times, the cars are jacked up and tires are stolen. Sometimes, the cars are simply towed away or lifted onto tow trucks. Viper car alarms fight back with shock sensors. These shock sensors will go off whenever your car is moved in any way. The auto alarm will sound and you will be immediately alerted. This can help prevent a variety of different kinds of thefts, and it helps you rest easier knowing your car is safe, even in the most dangerous areas. You can also reset the alarm because of any false notifications and you won t have to be near the car. As long as you are within range of the car, you can turn off the alarm. However, there are no silent settings for the remote. No matter how important the meeting or occasion, if your vehicle alarm sounds, your remote will too. We would love to see them add a vibrate or silent setting for all those occasions when you don t want to be interrupted every time someone comes too close to the car.

The Viper 5901 remote is intuitive and is rechargeable with any USB port. You ll never have to worry about buying new batteries and the battery life is extremely long, lasting months before you ll need to recharge. The product also comes with a spare remote, should you accidently lose or break the first.

One of the most useful features for car alarms in this price range is the remote start capability. The Viper alarm will start your car and the air conditioner or heater and bring the temperature to a preset level. No more getting into a freezing cold car in the winter or a scorching hot car in the summer. The remote will also serve as a keyless entry and a trunk opener.

The remote is used for 24 different options and functions. There are only four buttons, but navigation is simple and intuitive and the remote organizes the features based on usage. Only the most important commonly used features are on the main screen.

Viper also offers one of the most innovative and useful features we reviewed called Smart Start. This program is not included in the purchase of Viper 5901 car alarms; however, for an additional charge you can have your phone turned into the remote. Smart Start is compatible with all app-enabled smartphones including BlackBerry, iPhone and Android. You can eliminate the need to carry around an extra set of keys with this application and it can perform every task the remote can, and many more. The app can be used for more than one car so it s a great option for families with more than one vehicle.

When the alarm sounds or there is movement detected with the car, rather than having a remote alarm, your smartphone will receive a text message. You can disable the alarm or reset it using your phone. There are also some extraordinarily detailed customizations, such as naming a vehicle and having a custom photo appear on your phone. You can customize a password so that the vehicle options can only be accessed with the correct password.

Included with the Smart Start program is limited roadside assistance. There are limited towing and car-entry options offered through the roadside Viper Motor Club. However, the spending limit is $75 and the options are extremely limited.

Performance

These car alarms are fully customizable and come with a large feature set. Almost every feature we tested performed as advertized. From the controller settings to the remote starter, every feature works wonderfully. The advertized range of the remote is approximately one mile; however, we found it performed best when it was much closer than a mile. We were able to use the device through walls, and you do not have to be within sight of the vehicle for the alarm to function.

Most car alarms require an extremely complicated and detailed installation, and the Viper model is no different. Because this alarm is so full of technical features, it might take some time to install and there’s usually an extra charge. We suggest contacting a local automotive or car audio store to help you install your car alarm.

Help & Support

The manufacturer of Viper products, Directed Electronics, produces a variety of different car alarms under different labels including Python, Clifford, Avital, Ready Remote, Astro Start and Xpress Kit. All the help and support options are the same for all of these products. You can find extensive sections of frequently asked questions, email support addresses and toll-free telephone lines. When we called with a few questions, we were connected instantly to helpful representatives.

The Viper car alarms also come with a lifetime warranty. Depending on where you purchase and install the alarm, you can also often receive a lifetime warranty on the installation of the car security system.

The Viper 5901 car alarms are affordable, packed full of spectacular and original features and the manufacturer offers great customer service. We loved the remote starting options and the ability to replace the remote with your smartphone.

The BEST physical therapists in the area. I ve been seeing Greg and Leslie on and off for the last 10 years, and they know what they are doing! The best orthopedic surgeons (Santa Monica Orthopedic Group) only refer their patients to Malibu Rehab. They just hired a new massage therapist named Abbey who is a MIRACLE WORKER–she s been an instructor at a acupuncture/massage school in NYC for decades and knows her stuff. She s helped me get off my migraine and asthma meds just with acupressure massage. My body never felt so good. The office manager Alex is sweet, organized and accommodating. And they just remodeled so it s beautiful! Marvelous place!

I really feel care about by everyone at the clinic. Alex is always warm and thoughtful while Adams as gotten me into the best shape of my life while Gregg oversee Leslie an Abby so that everyone works together seamlessly. I was a quadraphonic once with too many injuries to name. They have never given up on me. They are all angles for me!

Malibu rehabilitation is the best physical therapy facility you could ask for! I have been seeing Greg Beaton off and on for 20 years now and he has literally helped me recover from several injuries. (Thats what I get for being active). Alex and Jessy have always been so friendly and most accommodating when I need an appointment. Adam, personal trainer, has tought me proper exercises to strengthen and avoid future injuries. They all have literally got me back on my feet when I needed them most!

Greg and his staff are great, guided me through my torn hamstring injury and got me back out in the ocean and mountains. He really takes the time to work on you personally.

If not for Malibu Rehab I probably would not be walking! Greg and Leslie are the best of the best! As is the amazing staff! Jesse and Alex are so accommodating and understanding I love those girls. I really mean it when I say it. ANYONE who has pain of any kind should come here first and then go from there! Life savers. I love and thank all of you for helping me manage my back, it is a life log journey that I could not handle without Malibu Rehab!

Though I have heard that Dr. Beaton is good, unfortunately he has a nasty, hostile face at the front desk who just was so rude and hot-headed that I would never go to this place. This nasty Alex just lost him what would have been two patients in her unprofessional, rude, off-putting behavior at 8am. No thanks!

I have been a patient of Greg s for the last 10 years. I have arthritis in my neck. It causes my neck to become so tight I cannot turn my head to see cars in the next lane or to easily back out of my driveway or a parking space. Greg treats that-so my neck turns without pain and I can drive successfully. Living in Malibu-driving is a necessity. I am so glad Greg is here! Harriet Pollon Malibu,ca

In short Greg is a miracle worker. I drive up every week from Santa Monica so Greg can work on a fractured ankle. He has been instrumental in my recovery and I am now tracking toward full recovery. Thank you Greg!

The plumber was a little late, but at least the company called us and let us know that they were running behind. Our plumber was Clint, and he was very professional and pleasant. He answered all of my questions without seeming condescending, and he was very kind about taking care of the mass of dead bugs we found under our improperly sealed toilet (which I absolutely appreciate). In all, the job was done in a decent amount of time, and he was very thorough in his execution. Added bonus: the price was very reasonable!

I have used APS before they WERE fantastic – reliable, responsible decent prices to boot! But I recently had a leak in my garage, as well as, some minor plumbing issues in my home – I called APS during business hours got a prompt to leave them a message. I left a message, no one called back. I tried calling a few more times kept getting a machine. I sent them an email – zero response. So finally after 4-5 days of no response, I gave up went elsewhere – they lost a customer. Very disappointing to say the least.

APS has serviced our family and many clients. They have done a great job and are very good. We have found their prices to be very competitive and they have been very timely. They will call before coming which sets them apart from many plumbing companies.

American Plumbing Solutions is awesome! I have been thoroughly impressed with the owner and his deep passion for serving his customers. What a great group!

Good service but was late with no call. Also quoted a high follow up procedure of about $3k which we solved with a root dissolver for $35. The tech was very nice and worked hard and solved our issue.

American Plumbing Solution are wonderful. They have performed several jobs for me, everything for fixing my waste disposal system to re-plumbing a rental property we have. Their work is nothing that I have experienced before, timely, polite, knowledgeable very, very tidy. From the horror storied that I had heard in the past from other who had a re-plumbing performed I was very worried about having it done, I thought that the house would be trashed. It was nothing short of amazing, there were no walls damaged, no mess or debris. From what I have heard since, if you get the wrong company you will probably have an expensive mess on your hands that is why I would highly recommend APS for all your plumbing needs.

I highly recommend APS, they are fast, reliable, and friendly.

It is true, due to the nature of our calls, we can run late from time to time. We do try to call the customer if that happens. I will share this review with Clint and I know he will appreciate the kind words.

We do try and return phone calls as quickly as possible. As for the email, I did look through the emails but could not locate one from the date of your review back three weeks. We are working diligently to replace our office staff member that answers the phone and schedules the calls. Not unlike most small businesses in the Tampa Bay area, we were hit hard by the bad economy – which included loosing valued members of our staff. The blessing is that we are still in business and doing our best to grow again.
I do thank you for your feedback and hope the new plumber you have found serves you well for years to come.
Respectfully,
