This is the worst insurance company with whom I have ever done business. I purchased a business liability policy through this company.They write up the policy with a low premium amount to be competitive against other quotes. Then they audit you after the policy expired and slap a huge audit payment. At this point you are stuck with it and you cannot do anything to deal with it, like go to another insurance company. I now have insurance for my business with a different company and the premium is less than half what I paid for one from NEK insurance. Beware of this evil company and their lying business practices.

This place is not for people with Diabetes. Why? The nurses of the doctor have no intention to help you. If your blood glucose levels are not better with each appointment, they get on your case so badly, it s pathetic. Another thing I hate about this place is, where in the world is the doctor most of the time? He only comes in when his nurses say that something s wrong. My advice: if you have diabetes and need to see a doctor, ANY doctor is much better than nurses that technically scream in your face when your blood glucose isn t expected levels and a doctor that s not even there 85% of the time. I HATE pricking my finger for blood glucose; I rather take a urine test, at least that is painless and doesn t violent a certain spiritual being s Temple. I ve needed them 3 times. 1. replace garbage disposal 2. replace kitchen sink fixture 3. replace shower valve Each time they have showed up friendly and completely the work quickly. I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done.

Awesome! Called in, got same day service, rate charged was exactly what was estimated, and the service person was friendly and a cool guy! Swapped out my garbage disposal for a great rate with great service!

Have had Toms out 3 times: 1st time at my old house to bid on a pressure regulator and fix a leaky faucet. Told me the cost and they would have to come back to do it and turned off the water to the leaky faucet. It took me 4 phone calls and 3 weeks to get them back out. Thinking it was a fluke, called them to do some work on my new house. Gave them a couple of things to fix and a couple of things to assess to determine if it needed to be repaired. They were there 45 minutes, told me everything was great with the hot water heater and left. 6 hours later the hot water heater busted and flooded a room. I ve spent $$$ on fixing what Toms plumbing should have clearly seen.

Yeah! Great plumber! We needed 2 low flow toilets from the City of Arlington installed. (We just moved into a new home). Tom s was able to give us a direct quote ($95 initial + each additional 1/4 hr. pretty standard) over the phone. Ernie s Plumbing refused to give a quote over the phone citing, Well, you never know until you pull the commode to see what kind of problems there could be. Larry Stinson Plumbing gave me a quote of a total price $280. So, I went with Tom s. Prompt service, on time arrival, sent 2 men to do the job, total cost $165. We will be calling them again for our future plumbing needs.

We had a backed up sewer line for two days. Our regular guy didn t show, so I called Tom s and they had a crew out in less than two hours (and it was snowing). They cleared the blockage in no time, and were on their way. Reasonably priced at $120.00. I m calling them first, next time.

Had a simple problem with the toilet. Accidentally dropped a casing of a pen in the toilet which caused the septic tank not to fill. I called him and told him all it needed was a closet auger, or a snake to correct the problem. He said he d be happy to take care of it. I asked him how much? He said $92. So he did come like he said he would, pretty prompt, within 2 hours, took him about 40 mins to complete. Then i get a phone call (being at work) and my wife tells me he is charging $142. I asked to speak to him on the phone, and said why its went from $92 to $142. He says he had to change a flapper. Ok – I m at work and $50 is not going to make me poor so I told my wife to just pay. But honestly, Tom s Plumbing is crooked. There are plenty of other places who charge $80-100 per hour, so I would stay away because his intentions to cheat the customer speaks volumes.

Just recently developed a hotwater leak. Tom s sent someone out on-time in a coupla hours after my phonecall. It was determined we had a slab leak and we arranged to have it repaired. They have their own team that does slab leak repairs – not sub-contracted, and they finished up the next day. My wife and I had some sweeping and a little minor mopping to do, but in general the workmen were very clean and professional. Everyone, from the gentleman answering the phone to the repair guy was patient and knowledgeable. The actual price was competitive as quoted but ended up even less! I would highly recommend Tom s and will use them for any future plumbing work.

    I do understand your frustration and it is not my intent to sound immune to your issue. I provided you the active ingredients for the product we used to give you a better understanding.

    You hired us on 11/1/12 ask asked if we could provide better results than you were currently experiencing with another company. We performed one spray treatment and then a follow-up visit weeks later.

    It was a spray-only application using an Imidacloprid. In February, you contacted us about some growing concerns and provided images. Based on the images I advised you I could not determine but it looked as if somebody misapplied a weed killer or overferitlized. Both products were never used by us for your treatment. If so, it would have been coded differently on your account and your costs would have been significantly more.

    All of our technicians are certified and trained by the Universairty of Florida. We take pride in our service and providing the best training practices for all of our technicians.

    Philip, I want to help you and it would be wonderful to make an unhappy customer happy again; however, I cannot just tell you we did something we did not do for the sake of that. You hired us to replace a company and we performed one service that included an initial treatment and a follow-up.

    We haven t been doing your property for years or even 6 months. We did not monitor your property or conduct multiple treatments. It would be very difficult to pinpoint the exact issue, but like I said in our previous conversation it looks as if fertilizer was misused and/or weed killer. It could have been another company, could have been an honest mistake by the homeowner. I just know it wasn t us and not because you have an issue 5 months later after one treatment, but because we would have set up your account and your charges would have been exponentially more had we used said products such as fertilizer or a weed killer on your property. As soon as we met, I trusted that he was going to do an excellent job bringing this chair back to life. He is very knowledgable in the topic of Mid-century furniture design/construction, and made informed recommendations on fabrics based on their durability, but that would present the chair genuinely to it s era. After selecting a fabric, Giovanne got to work and the finished product far surpassed my expectations. The craftsmanship is amazing! He completely recreated the worn chair into something that is equal parts modern/trendy conversation piece, yet still maintains it s old-world authenticity and craftsmanship. It instantly became my favorite piece of furniture in our home, and we receive frequent compliments about it from our friends and family. It means so much to us to have been able to revive such a beautiful piece of furniture that holds so many childhood memories; complete with the dent in the armrest caused my husband and his cousin s best five-year old rendition of Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior (which may have ended in a stitch or two).     Restaurant Marketing: Developing an Effective Marketing Plan

    D eveloping a business plan for your restaurant is extremely important – it helps you plan for your future instead of reacting to changes in your business. Additionally, it gives you credibility and lenders will always ask for one if they consider lending you money.

    Equally important and part of a business plan is developing an effective marketing plan. Marketing, in its simplest form, is getting out into your marketplace, observing what is taking place and making decisions based on that which you have observed. A marketing plan basically puts all the information you have gathered into a readable format.

    The steps in developing a marketing plan include:

    Determine Your Market
    Determine where your business comes from. This could be a four-block area for a small deli or a 40-mile area for an upscale destination restaurant.

    Check Out The Competition
    Gather some competitive intelligence through scouting. Develop a competition profile. Things you should include in a competition profile include Name, Address, Hours of Operation, Restaurant Theme (e.g. Continental, Italian, American) and Entree Prices. Set it up like a chart and include your restaurant for easy comparison.

    Identify Your Business
    Identifying who dines with you is the crux of your marketing plan. Determine who your customers are (e.g. business people, social people) and why they dine at your restaurant.

    Determine If There Is Additional Business Available For Your Restaurant
    Based on your current customer base, determine if there are groups of people not dining at your restaurant for certain meal periods that could be. For example, maybe you have a good lunch trade but it consists totally of social people and not business people.

    Anticipate The Potential New Business Segments
    Once you determine where you can generate new business, advertising and promotion decisions become more focused. Reach these new market segments with advertising specifically oriented toward them.

    Determine Your Competitive Edge
    Find out what makes you stand out from your competition – do you have the best location, do you have the best quality of food or do you have the best atmosphere relative to your competition. As soon as you determine your competitive edge, exploit it.

    Menu Price Points
    Determine specific dollar amounts that influence a consumer to make a purchase and price all your menu items accordingly. For example, one price point might be that a bottle of wine priced jut under $30 might sell more than a bottle priced just over $30. Of course you must take into account costing issues as well.

    Develop Strategies to Enhance Increases in Average Check
    Some restaurant chains do this very effectively. The wait staff is very proactive in trying to sell things such as soups, salads, appetizers and desserts in addition to customers ordering entrees. Develop written strategies on how you will upsell , include them in the marketing plan and communicate them to your wait staff.

    Determine Your Restaurant’s Annual Revenue
    This will serve as the basis for your annual marketing budget and should be done as part of the overall budgeting process.

    Evaluate the Need for Professional Memberships
    Since people do business with people they know , it is important for you as a restaurant owner or manager to participate in professional organizations. Determine what professional organizations you are a member of and evaluate their effectiveness in promoting the restaurant.

    Employ the Good Neighbor Strategy
    Be a good neighbor and take part in community affairs. Do things such as provide meals to the underprivileged or offer the your services in catering-related events. Obviously, you need to carefully choose the beneficiaries of your donations since nearly everyone will be asking. The recognition and publicity received from the right contributions is invaluable.

    Develop the Marketing Expense Budget
    Develop a schedule of expenses which would be a breakdown of your Marketing expense included in your budget for the year. These line items include such things as:

    Direct mail
    Entertainment costs (including complimentary meals)
    Newspapers
    Magazines
    Civic and community projects
    Donations

    A full breakdown of the type of marketing expenses will be available in the 1997 Pennsylvania Restaurant Operations Report published by Restaurant Advisory Services later this year. Marketing expense should average in the range of 2 to 4 percent of your total revenues.

    The Action Calendar
    Introduce an action calendar to organize the myriad of activities and strategies you select for implementation. This can take the form of a calendar where your have specific dates blocked off for your marketing endeavors.

    The food and beverage division is responsible for all of the dining rooms, restaurant – bars, bars, the galleys (kitchens), clean up and provisions. The Food and Beverage Director runs this department. The dining room manager, or maitre d’, takes care of seating arrangements, service, and oversees the wait staff for the main restaurant (dining room). Under the maitre d’ are the head waiters, and each of them is responsible for several waiters and busboys. Even though waiters and busboys are considered entry level positions, many cruise ships prefer those with previous experience from a restaurant or hotel dining room on their resume / CV. Depending on the size of the cruise ship, there may be several bars, and the service of drinks is a popular job on board. Bartenders, wine stewards and cocktail waitresses/waiters must usually have prior experience. The Food and Beverage Department on a cruise ship offers the following restaurant jobs: Maitre D’ / Restaurant Manager, Dining Room Head Waiter / Waitress, Dining Room Waiter / Waitress, Dining Room Assistant Waiter / Waitress, Dining Room Junior Waiter / Waitress. Cocktail Waitress / Waiter, Bartender, Buffet Steward / Stewardess.

    Buffet Steward / Stewardess (serving meals, drinks, cleaning tables) – No experience r equired, some experience preferred. Basic English Language knowledge required. Salary range: $900-1300 U.S. per month, depending on gratuities (tips) from passengers. Strong possibilities for promotion to Bar Steward, Junior Waiter, Assistant Waiter and Waiter.

    Bar Accountant (responsible for accounting procedures of the bar department) – accounting background and / or education required. Salary range: $1600-1900 U.S. per month.

    Bartender (responsible for serving alcoholic beverages to passengers in lounges and on decks) – minimum of two years beverage-related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education required. Completion of high school, vocational school or basic education equivalency required. Good English Language skills required. Salary range: $1700-2600 U.S. per month, depending on gratuities from passengers.

    The BEST physical therapists in the area. I ve been seeing Greg and Leslie on and off for the last 10 years, and they know what they are doing! The best orthopedic surgeons (Santa Monica Orthopedic Group) only refer their patients to Malibu Rehab. They just hired a new massage therapist named Abbey who is a MIRACLE WORKER–she s been an instructor at a acupuncture/massage school in NYC for decades and knows her stuff. She s helped me get off my migraine and asthma meds just with acupressure massage. My body never felt so good. The office manager Alex is sweet, organized and accommodating. And they just remodeled so it s beautiful! Marvelous place!

    I really feel care about by everyone at the clinic. Alex is always warm and thoughtful while Adams as gotten me into the best shape of my life while Gregg oversee Leslie an Abby so that everyone works together seamlessly. I was a quadraphonic once with too many injuries to name. They have never given up on me. They are all angles for me!

    Malibu rehabilitation is the best physical therapy facility you could ask for! I have been seeing Greg Beaton off and on for 20 years now and he has literally helped me recover from several injuries. (Thats what I get for being active). Alex and Jessy have always been so friendly and most accommodating when I need an appointment. Adam, personal trainer, has tought me proper exercises to strengthen and avoid future injuries. They all have literally got me back on my feet when I needed them most!

    Greg and his staff are great, guided me through my torn hamstring injury and got me back out in the ocean and mountains. He really takes the time to work on you personally.

    If not for Malibu Rehab I probably would not be walking! Greg and Leslie are the best of the best! As is the amazing staff! Jesse and Alex are so accommodating and understanding I love those girls. I really mean it when I say it. ANYONE who has pain of any kind should come here first and then go from there! Life savers.     Though I have heard that Dr. Beaton is good, unfortunately he has a nasty, hostile face at the front desk who just was so rude and hot-headed that I would never go to this place. This nasty Alex just lost him what would have been two patients in her unprofessional, rude, off-putting behavior at 8am. No thanks!

It causes my neck to become so tight I cannot turn my head to see cars in the next lane or to easily back out of my driveway or a parking space.     The plumber was a little late, but at least the company called us and let us know that they were running behind. Our plumber was Clint, and he was very professional and pleasant. He answered all of my questions without seeming condescending, and he was very kind about taking care of the mass of dead bugs we found under our improperly sealed toilet (which I absolutely appreciate). In all, the job was done in a decent amount of time, and he was very thorough in his execution. Added bonus: the price was very reasonable!

    I have used APS before they WERE fantastic – reliable, responsible decent prices to boot! But I recently had a leak in my garage, as well as, some minor plumbing issues in my home – I called APS during business hours got a prompt to leave them a message. I left a message, no one called back. I tried calling a few more times kept getting a machine. I sent them an email – zero response. So finally after 4-5 days of no response, I gave up went elsewhere – they lost a customer. Very disappointing to say the least.

    APS has serviced our family and many clients. They have done a great job and are very good. We have found their prices to be very competitive and they have been very timely. They will call before coming which sets them apart from many plumbing companies.

    American Plumbing Solutions is awesome! I have been thoroughly impressed with the owner and his deep passion for serving his customers. What a great group!

    Good service but was late with no call. Also quoted a high follow up procedure of about $3k which we solved with a root dissolver for $35. The tech was very nice and worked hard and solved our issue.

    American Plumbing Solution are wonderful. They have performed several jobs for me, everything for fixing my waste disposal system to re-plumbing a rental property we have. Their work is nothing that I have experienced before, timely, polite, knowledgeable very, very tidy. From the horror storied that I had heard in the past from other who had a re-plumbing performed I was very worried about having it done, I thought that the house would be trashed. It was nothing short of amazing, there were no walls damaged, no mess or debris. From what I have heard since, if you get the wrong company you will probably have an expensive mess on your hands that is why I would highly recommend APS for all your plumbing needs.

    I highly recommend APS, they are fast, reliable, and friendly.

We do try… We appreciated you using APS in the past and apologize if your calls were not returned. We do try and return phone calls as quickly as possible. As for the email, I did look through the emails but could not locate one from the date of your review back three weeks. We are working diligently to replace our office staff member that answers the phone and schedules the calls. Not unlike most small businesses in the Tampa Bay area, we were hit hard by the bad economy – which included loosing valued members of our staff. The blessing is that we are still in business and doing our best to grow again.

    Course Outline

    From the admin that I scheduled the appointment with to the 2 service techs Andy/Ethan that came out, this company has a very professional demeanor and they treat their customers well. After getting reports back from another company s foundation inspection, it was recommended I get the water lines under my house checked for possible leaking. I was happy to hear from Andy/Ethan that their assessment report revealed no leaks in the water lines were causing damage to my home!

    Ahh regrets. Sometimes you say or do something and about 5 seconds later you wish you hadn t. I m guessing that s the way Rick, the person that runs American Leak in Houston, feels after telling me that he wouldn t honor a $75 service call payment that I paid to have one pipe leak detected in my pools waterfall. You see, I ve been in the swimming pool business for the better part of 25 years now, and I ve used American Leak dozens of times to detect leaks for my customers. The truth is, they are pretty good at what they do, and their techs are nice, personable people. But be forwarned, the Detection is the bait. The repair is where they buttrape you. Anyway, when the tech came to detect my waterfall leak, he told me that he couldn t do it because I had rocks mortored in the way of the lines, that he couldn t plug them to do a pressure test, and that I would have to remove the rocks to get the Detection done. I said ok. The dude then told me I would have to pay $75 for his service call, despite the fact that had did absolutely nothing other than tell me he couldn t do it. Being in business for myself, I also have a standard service call charge, but if I can t do the job, I don t charge. Its just a common courtesy, and usually the customer really appreciates it, and about 100% of the time they will use me again when needed. But American Leak insisted on the payment, so I complied with the understanding that the deposit would be applied toward the detection when the rocks were removed. Now I ll be the 1st to tell you that time went by, about a year actually, before I was able to get ready for the detection. You get busy, time goes by, yada yada yada. I don t expect kickbacks from vendors that I work with. But when I ve given someone thousands and thousands or dollars in business, it would be nice if they honored their promise to apply a measly $75 toward a job they would probably make at least $500 of off. Rick, the jackass manager, refused. BUH-BYE! HELLO USA LEAK!

    If could post the pictures and video of the work done on my pool I would, but yelp lacks that feature. All I tell to that I still have is a pool that is still leaking and a wallet that is missing $550.00. Please do your research before calling American Leak Detection.

    These guy are INCREDIBLE! After two other companies coming out and making holes in my walls these guys come out and in one hour was able to find the problem with out damaging anything. They found it in the first hour and gave me an estimate for repair, and repaired it in 3 hours. wow wish I would have called them first.

They told me to seal those up and then they would come out for free within 30 days to recheck it if leaks were still occurring. Well, it didn t rain for 30 days, but when it did, the leak was still happening but not as much water came in. I had to pay again since it was beyond 30 days, but there was just an hourly charge and no minimum. They found that it was coming in at the area where my shutters are bolted to my brick wall on the second story. They were very friendly and very methodical about figuring that out. I don t blame them for not finding this area the first time – where you have multiple points of entry, you have to just start fixing things in order to narrow it down to be able to pinpoint everything. Another person told me that I would need to take down all of the brick and rewrap the windows. The small amount paid to American Leak Detection saved me thousands of dollars in repair work!

    They have a two hour minimum. They stayed for 2 1/2 hours $312. They went over the same areas with lots of fancy equipment. Bottom line they did not figure out where the water lines were. The leak was where the water was. There assessment was useless. The guys were nice
