How Much Money Do Auto Mechanics Make Per Month? #auto #parts #international

Average Salary

The average salary for an automotive technician in 2008 was $2,970 per month according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The low-end of the salary range was $9.56 an hour or approximately $1682 per month. The high-end of the salary range was $28.71 an hour or $5053 per month.

Industries

Automotive repair has several industries that have a rather wide salary range. For example, many local governments have a mechanic dedicated to their fleet of vehicles. In 2010, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average monthly salary for a government mechanic is $3,532 per month. An automotive repair shop pays an average of $2,686 per month. A mechanic can also work in a parts store. The average monthly salary for a person in this position is $2,622.

Pay Structure

For many automotive mechanical jobs, the technician is paid based on the labor rate system. Under this system the mechanic receives a portion of the amount charged to the customer for labor. The customer typically has to pay for labor and parts. The shop owner takes a portion of the labor rate and the mechanic receives a portion. The exact ratio is determined by the employer and employee. The amount a mechanic makes is based on the amount of work performed. For example, if the labor rate given to the client is $100 for a task expected to take an hour, the mechanic may make $40 for his share. If the task takes two hours, the additional labor rate may not always be charged to the customer and the mechanic makes an average of $20 an hour. Often, a mechanic will be guaranteed a minimum salary or number of labor hours by his employer.

Additional Mechanic Opportunities

Some mechanics specialize in certain areas. For example, some car manufacturers train mechanics specifically for their makes. Another example of a specialized market is a diesel mechanic, although the pay differential may not be much more than a general mechanic. An average monthly salary for a diesel mechanic is $3,333 in 2008.

  4. All of the above

10. Which of the following could help you mitigate malwares and viruses from infecting your PC?

  1. Download software from trusted sources only
  2. Install an antivirus program and a two-way firewall
  3. Always update your PC when prompted for system updates
  4. Install Wireshark to monitor and analyze the traffic of your network

D – This is a very tricky question and it has been used in some technical and security interviews. You should never lie to your information security auditor or officer since their role is to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA triad) of the assets and technologies of your organization or company. A good information security auditor or officer can help you about the cyber security problems in your organization. Even if you lost key people in your organization because of their wrongdoings – do not cover them up. There is a due process in a good organization or company.

C – This is a possible phishing attempt which could harm other cyber citizens because the website could store the login credentials if the user is not that cyber-savvy. As a concerned cyber citizen, you need to be vigilant but don t hack it or launch DDoS attacks on it instead report it to security teams or computer emergency response teams like the Google Safe Browsing Team, US-CERT, etc. By hacking and DDosing it, you are being unethical.

C – There are two possibilities of what just happened here. The website could be hacked and backdoored wherein the attacker placed a malicious link or the website administrator didn t fully review the advertising ads he or she placed on the website. You should inform the website administrator and explain to him or her that this could harm other computer users who are not that vigilant.

B – The shortened URL could take you to a malicious website which could steal your cookies, exploit the trust of your browser, or exploit the vulnerability of your browser wherein the attacker can then control your computer (check out BeeF or Metasploit video tutorials on how an attacker could control your PC if you want to know more). The best way to ensure that it will take you to a legitimate site is to use an online URL expander like http://longurl.org/. If it takes you to an unknown website or if you suspect that the website is malicious report it.

B – Someone maybe conducting ARP spoofing and routing all the Google Mail traffic to http://www.googlemail.andrew.net so it s wise to just disconnect to their WIFI connection or else your Gmail credentials will be sniffed. It would also be wise to approach their IT personnel about their problem. http://www.googlemail.andrew.net is possibly owned by the attacker. For me, it s wise not to connect to Free WIFI networks and be partially paranoid about where you connect to.

Fill out the form below for the answers to questions 6-10!

Remember, enterprise information awareness training is a great way to keep end users up to date. Patching your system is also one way to preventing new exploits from dropping off payloads. And of course downloading trusted software from trusted sources could eliminate malicious software but if that trusted site is hacked and is currently serving malware because the attacker modified most of the software then you are not safe at all.

Take note that antivirus software is as good as the virus database. If there is a new virus in the wild, then it could miss detecting that virus. That s why we also need a two-way firewall, because it protects you while accessing anything outside. Take note that there is also a way to bypass these firewalls but at least you can mitigate some known threats and risks.

On October 5, 2015 I was working on an Access database program, and needed assistance to get it in use quickly. I found Winning Solutions via google/chat now, they contacted me with their programmer Andres Dominicci the next day. With the expertise of Andres the database was put in the store for use just 4 days later. The efficiency of his programming and the added benefit of video to refer back to in case of small adjustments brought what seemed like a daunting task into reality very quickly. You can get quick, efficient, trustworthy help directly into your office regardless of your location. This is utterly amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for specialized projects in your office.

Much thanks to Winning Solutions… Andres you are a winner!

What You Need To Know About A Short Term, 3 Month Car Lease

People choose to lease a car for many reasons, such as traveling for work or for personal use. If you need a car short-term, such as a 3 month car lease, there are several things to consider.

Short term car lease offers can be hard to come by, generally a dealer will prefer to lease a car for a standard lease term of 24 month or more. Because of this, any available short-term lease deals will usually have much higher monthly costs when compared to a typical lease.

Here are a few things to know about short-term leases and lease take overs. Keep the following in mind, should you lease a new car and want to transfer the lease to another person:

  • Leasing a car for shorter periods of time, such as a 3 month lease, most often means you’ll end up renting – which can be more costly versus a long-term lease. It may work out cheaper to just lease a car for a standard lease term, find out what deals are available in your area by requesting your free, no obligation lease price quote .
  • A lease takeover or assumption means you’ll assume complete responsibility for monthly payments – driving the car for the rest of the lease term and returning it to the dealership/financing agency. Often this is not a favorable deal, because the monthly payments will be too expensive.
  • The downside to assuming a lease is that the car you’re leasing is no longer brand new. Depending on the driving habits of the previous driver, you could end up with a poorly maintained car – possibly even paying extra for wear and tear, or mileage fees at the end of the lease term.

  • 3 Month Lease Deals are Hard To Come By- Find Standard Lease Deals Near You!

    • The first thing to do is determine the type of car that will meet your needs and priorities. By evaluating what is most important to you in a car, you’ll be able to select the style to best meet your needs.
  • Request a free, no obligation lease price quote to see the short-term lease specials being offered by local dealerships. You will be able to see which dealerships in your area will offer you special incentives on standard leases that could work out cheaper than a 3 month lease.
  • Think about the total leasing costs for the lease term. Estimate anticipated gas mileage, insurance and leasing fees. Evaluate the rates for different classes of cars – it’s possibly a different class will give you a lower overall cost.
  • Request a free new car lease quote now to find the best lease deals in your area, you’ll be surprised at the offers that could work out to being better than a 3 month leasing offer. Learn everything you need to know, so you can negotiate with confidence for the best car lease price possible.

January is heaven for automobile collectors and automobile lovers across the Valley.

For nine days, you can admire thousands of hot rods, muscle cars, exotic sports cars, custom vehicles and rare examples of the pinnacle of automotive arts. And if your pockets are deep enough, you can bid on these beauties.

Top 10 Deals of the Month for November 2014 Cars

    1 of 30

Looking for a bargain? We’ve got 10. The following cars are our TMV Deals of the Month, and they represent the best values we’ve found in the marketplace. (Visit our How to Use TMV page for more information about TMV.)

Some of these cars offer great deals with regard to leasing. By analyzing monthly payments, down payments, term, mileage, drive-off fees and True Market Value, we were able to single out vehicles offering lease deals that provide the customer with the most car for the least amount of money.

Others come to the table with tremendous financing deals. We took a close look at APR. term and True Market Value, and used these factors to identify cars with special financing deals that offer outstanding savings on interest charges compared to average market rates .

Finally, some of these cars boast compelling cash incentives. By scrutinizing customer cash rebates and manufacturer-to-dealer cash incentives, we were able to recognize vehicles offering the greatest overall discount to customers who want to pay cash for their purchases.

Note that for each vehicle, we’ve identified whether its deals are lease-, finance- or cash-based. We’ve listed only national deals but there may also be regional deals available. Regional deals are reflected on a vehicle’s incentives page. We offer links to each pick’s incentives page in the text below.

Though some of the incentives programs that we’ve identified may be carried forward, keep in mind that many of them are good only through the end of the month listed in the title of this article. Act quickly to nail down your bargain.

  • Check our Incentives and Rebates page for further information on the various offers available. You might also find these models offered through Edmunds.com’s Price Promise program.

    Whats wrong with 72 month car loans? myFICO® Forums #auto #insurance #comparison

    Website Navigation:

Dealers love “payment buyers” which offer much higher total interest in addition to negative equity. You’ll note that on longer terms (60-72-84 months) the dealers will push “Gap Insurance” which is another big money maker. In theory Gap Insurance covers you when you are upside down (owe more than the car is worth), the problem is that it only covers the lender not you directly. There would be little need for Gap Insurance if it wasn’t for longer term car loans.

Go to any of many “auto loan” sites, Capital One, PenFed, Ally (old GMAC), etc and use car their loan calculator (free online). I think you’ll see that the difference between a 60 and 72 month loan is NOT in your best interest: I don’t know if you can find a lender that’ll go 84 months on only $25k. Of course if you take advantage of a special interest rate like PenFed at 1.99 % promotion, longer payments make sense if you are going to keep the car a long time and cash flow is important to you.

    Example: $25,000 loan at 7.0%: 60 months = $495 a month ($4700 full term interest), 72 months $426 a month ($5067 interest), 84 months $377 a month ($6668 interest).
