    Scum dealers do not buy warning warning

    bought what i thought was a nice car but no when i got home the check engine came on and i was told it needed a new engine(witch i was informed this was a issue they must of had prior knowledge too as they changed out the battery as to re set all the tests for check engine to go off for a bit so they could sell it) i wrote them and sent it certified i know they recived my letter no response its been over a month DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, IN MY OPION THEY SHOULD HAVE THERE DEALER PERVLIGAES REVOKED ALL THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FROM EMPLOYEES

Bought a car from there , the sales guy knew absolutely nothing about the car to begin with ,but was told everything worked great. Found out ac didnt work so they told me to bring it back and theyd fix it. It took their “mechanic ” well over 6 hours to fix it. And how did he fix it ,he ran a wire from.

So i decided to be one positive reviewer for these guys. I bought my 16 yr old his first car from these guys about a month ago now and we haven’t experienced one problem out of it.     The KBB can help new car buyers find valuable information such as the Fair Market Range (including the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price, or MSRP) of the vehicles in which they’re interested.

    So, let’s say you’re shopping for a specific new car. There are a few different ways you can utilize the site, but let’s go with the following example.

    • Choose one of the options to price a new car.
    • Enter that vehicle’s specific make, model, and year.
    • Choose the vehicle’s “style.”

    • Factory Invoice: This is the price the dealership paid the auto manufacturer, including the destination charge.
    • Fair Purchase Price: The KBB updates this information frequently, and it’s based on what others have recently paid for the vehicle as well as availability, demand, and other buying trends.

    Knowing this Fair Market Range gives you some serious price negotiation leverage.

    NOTE: The KBB is careful to point out that some of the prices it shows are dealer-suggested retail prices and because dealers can set their own labor rates and other prices, costs can vary by dealer and region. Also, the KBB doesn’t include prices associated with title, registration, and license fees; any applicable taxes; or document fees.

    Buyers

    Whether you’re shopping with a private seller or a dealership, you can search for the Kelley Blue Book value of a used car; however, you’ll need some specific information (see “Sellers” above) about the vehicle in order to get the most accurate Blue Book value.

    Once you’ve entered all this information, you can find out the value of the vehicle if you plan to trade it in with a dealership or purchase it from a private party. This value will help you determine whether you’re getting a fair deal, and possibly even give you a starting point for price negotiation.

    10 Tips for First-time Car Buyers

    It doesn’t matter whether you’re a recent grad with your first real job or someone other than the prototypical first-time car buyer, the car-buying process is never filled with as much uncertainty as it is the first time. But no matter how much affection we develop for our high school hand-me-down or skateboard, at some point it’s time to move on. Being a good first-time car buyer isn’t easy, but if it’s worth doing and it is it’s worth doing well.

    To that end, we’ve come up with some tips to help with the process. First, a little history: Car buying began in parallel with the first car sold. And despite credit given to Karl Benz for the automobile’s invention, we’ve not been able to find its first-time buyer. We’re guessing, however, Karl (under a banner reading “Karl’s First Cars”) unloaded it on an unsuspecting first-timer, probably a recent technical college grad with more short-term enthusiasm than long-term perspective.

    We’ve compiled this list as a Top Ten, more than a little bit like Dave Letterman would compile it if, of course, Letterman cared about what you drive. (Dave has a small collection of exciting cars to stoke his fire along with a racing team. ) Without further delay, a few tips on what to buy, how to buy it and where to buy it.

    10. Establish a realistic budget

    This figure is generally based on what you can afford per month. The ideal is to pay cash, but in most instances when considering a new (or just newer) car, the nature of the transaction price often requires the leverage of financing. So, look at your cost of living in all the more important areas, like shelter, food, health insurance and Happy Hour. Once those are calculated, the remainder could be spent on a car payment, fuel, car insurance and for cars without a warranty mechanical maintenance.

    9. Know what you can spend monthly

    While this may look similar to #10, your level of indebtedness is different from your monthly commitment. Neither one for a first-time buyer should be out of balance in comparison to your other assets (at this point in your life those assets are probably limited to your most recent purchase at H M). If you’re financing, figure $25/month for every thousand dollars that you borrow for 48 months, and $20/month on 60-month financing. It follows that every $10K borrowed is $250/month for four years, and $200/month for five. Again, this is the base obligation; insurance, fuel and periodic maintenance are above and beyond this.

    8. Establish your transportation needs

    We know. Despite our cautionary note, you have short-term enthusiasm UP TO HERE. A MINI Convertible or Fiat Cabriolet may be the car of the moment, but is it going to work for you as a day-in/day-out piece of transportation? Conversely, you may think you need a minivan or pickup for ALL OF YOUR STUFF, but on those occasions when you’re moving to a new apartment or, uh, moving home, you can rent a pickup. Given the cost of fuel, insurance and in many cities monthly parking, don’t buy what you don’t need. And perhaps consider renting what you need, only when you need it.

    7. Identify and prioritize your wants

    This runs a bit counter to the previous tip. The first-time purchase doesn’t need to be your be-all/end-all acquisition, but you should still pay attention to your want list, as this isn’t a process you need to repeat every 18 months. Better to stretch a bit for those things in a car that satisfy you, than to be hit over the head and pocketbook with buyer’s remorse before you’ve emptied the first tank of gas. If getting what you want costs $40/month more, spend it and skip a couple Happy Hours.

    6. Do your research (it’s never been easier)

    In that you’re reading this at one of the foremost websites for car purchasers, online research is also intuitive. There is, at this point, an amazing amount of both information and perspective on new cars and their late-model alternatives. Once you’ve digested it all, balance it with your gut instincts or those instincts of someone whose gut you trust. And be proactive; if you see someone with a car you have an interest in and they’re not doing 90 miles per hour stop and ask them about their ownership experience.

    5. Locate a convenient dealer

    For most of car-selling history (we’re talking to you, Karl) the act of buying a car for the first time has run akin to getting a colonoscopy for the first time: Come in, lay down, you’re not gonna’ feel a thing. But despite our almost inherent misgivings, the salesman on the showroom is closer to a normal person than you might think. Most of the abnormal ones we’ve heard from reliable sources end up selling something less precious; let your parents worry about them. And while new and late-model cars have never been more reliable, they still need attention and that attention should be easy to access. When weighing a couple of choices let’s say Mazda3, Kia Soul and Honda Civic compare dealer locations and, if all other things are equal, showroom environments. We tend to stay away from dealerships where two-thirds of the sales staff is sitting or standing at the front entrance.

    4. Take a test drive

    With all of the online sources available for your basic research, we believe the importance of the test drive has been marginalized. Virtually nothing is more important in your decision process than how you feel behind the wheel. And so many variables come into play seat height, wheel adjustment, steering feel, throttle tip-in, outward visibility, control layout, etc. that you simply must spend a reasonable amount of time driving the car. And that time should be more than five minutes on someone’s idea of a stop-and-go test route. Take at least half an hour, while trying stop-and-go, freeway merging and freeway speeds. And if your sales rep you know, the normal guy trying to make a living doesn’t have the 30 minutes, find a time when he or she does, or take the time to find another dealership.

    3. Determine the proper purchase price

    Once you’ve decided what you like and have already established what you can afford it’s time to arrive at a purchase price. The Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price gives you an accurate idea of what people have paid in your area for the car you have an interest in. A credit union should also be able to provide you with perspective, and may have a contact on the showroom floor. An important note regarding referrals: Get the referral before taking another salesman’s time for a walkaround and demo. Most of these people work on commission, and commissions are notoriously small. If you plan on working with a referral, start with a referral. Finally, when discussing what you want to pay, don’t reveal a “per month” number; that’s the oldest trick in the book. If you’re thinking you can budget $20K and you’re looking at a $25K car tell ’em $20K. You can always work up. while it’s much harder to back up.

    2. Secure financing, or know your options

    Financing issues are somewhat like the purchase price; there has been an exponential growth in the number of resources. That, however, is mitigated by your lack of credit history or, in an increasing number of instances, marginal credit history. The last thing you want, however, is to be in a room with an F I (Finance and Insurance) rep, and he or she is holding all the cards; the deck if you will is stacked against you. Better to talk with your credit union, bank or insurance provider (many have the capability and desire to finance your purchase), and line up your financing in advance. You can always go with the dealer option if it’s competitive, but never approach it as if the dealer is the only money game in town.     1. Enjoy the process

    We know, the above advice makes buying a car seem like an ordeal, but even those with no interest or passion in a car or truck can if the process is given half a chance be stimulated by the sheer variety of options available, and the genuine creativity that goes into today’s automotive menu. With low financing rates and literally hundreds of great cars to choose from, your options have never been better (especially in the “entry-level” category) and car ownership never more rewarding. Take your time in the process, and you’ll be delighted with the outcome for at least the first 48 (or 60) monthly payments.

    Kelley Blue Book’s Best Resale Value Cars

    Depreciation: It’s the biggest cost of owning an automobile. Some vehicles just hold their value better than others when you sell or trade them in. Those that don’t just plain cost you more.

    First of all, SUVs and trucks hold their value very well.

    Of the 10 vehicles expected to have the best resale value after five years every one of them is an SUV or pickup. General Motors ( GM ) makes four of them: The Chevrolet Colorado and Silverado and the GMC Canyon and Sierra pick-ups. Toyota has three vehicles on the list: The Toyota ( TM ) Tacoma and Tundra pick-ups and the 4Runner SUV. Then there are the Ford ( F ) F-150 pick-up. Jeep Wrangler SUV and the Honda CR-V crossover SUV.

    These vehicles hold their value well in large part because SUVs and trucks are hot right now. They’re are selling well, in general, and that’s not expected to change anytime soon, said Eric Ibara, director of residual value consulting at Kelley Blue Book, even if gas prices edge back up.

    Porsche Cayenne S E-hybrid

    That’s why KBB’s experts expect that, among plug-in vehicles, the one that’s expected to hold its value best over five years isn’t the Chevrolet Volt or Nissan ( NSANF ) Leaf. It’s the Porsche ( POAHF ) Cayenne S E-Hybrid. (Keep in mind, of course, that the Cayenne just plain costs more than either of those vehicles. Prices start at about $76,000 before tax incentives compared to about $34,000 for the Volt.)

    A number of domestic vehicles topped their respective market segments, according to KBB. Among high-performance cars, General Motors’ Chevrolet Corvette holds its value best and the Camaro V6 is best among Sports Cars.

    Among full-sized cars, the Toyota Avalon has been the resale value leader in past years but, this year, the Dodge Charger pulled out ahead.

    Overall, Asian automaker do very well in KBB’s analysis, though, ranking at the top in 12 of 22 categories. Of those, seven are Toyota products including three from Toyota’s Lexus luxury division. Subaru has three vehicles topping their respective market categories: The Impreza, WRX, and Legacy. The Honda Fit ranks as the best subcompact car in resale value.

    Kelley Blue Book’s Best Resale Value Cars

    Depreciation: It’s the biggest cost of owning an automobile. Some vehicles just hold their value better than others when you sell or trade them in. Those that don’t just plain cost you more.

    First of all, SUVs and trucks hold their value very well.

    Of the 10 vehicles expected to have the best resale value after five years every one of them is an SUV or pickup. General Motors ( GM ) makes four of them: The Chevrolet Colorado and Silverado and the GMC Canyon and Sierra pick-ups. Toyota has three vehicles on the list: The Toyota ( TM ) Tacoma and Tundra pick-ups and the 4Runner SUV. Then there are the Ford ( F ) F-150 pick-up. Jeep Wrangler SUV and the Honda CR-V crossover SUV.

    These vehicles hold their value well in large part because SUVs and trucks are hot right now. They’re are selling well, in general, and that’s not expected to change anytime soon, said Eric Ibara, director of residual value consulting at Kelley Blue Book, even if gas prices edge back up.

    Porsche Cayenne S E-hybrid

    That’s why KBB’s experts expect that, among plug-in vehicles, the one that’s expected to hold its value best over five years isn’t the Chevrolet Volt or Nissan ( NSANF ) Leaf. It’s the Porsche ( POAHF ) Cayenne S E-Hybrid. (Keep in mind, of course, that the Cayenne just plain costs more than either of those vehicles. Prices start at about $76,000 before tax incentives compared to about $34,000 for the Volt.)

    A number of domestic vehicles topped their respective market segments, according to KBB. Among high-performance cars, General Motors’ Chevrolet Corvette holds its value best and the Camaro V6 is best among Sports Cars.

    Among full-sized cars, the Toyota Avalon has been the resale value leader in past years but, this year, the Dodge Charger pulled out ahead.

    Overall, Asian automaker do very well in KBB’s analysis, though, ranking at the top in 12 of 22 categories. Of those, seven are Toyota products including three from Toyota’s Lexus luxury division. Subaru has three vehicles topping their respective market categories: The Impreza, WRX, and Legacy. The Honda Fit ranks as the best subcompact car in resale value.

    2015 New York International Auto Show: Sedans in the spotlight

    There’s no question that the auto industry is mad for crossover SUVs as the compact-sized variety is one of the fastest growing segments currently. But that’s not to say that the traditional 4-door sedan has been consigned to the ash pile of history. At least that’s the conclusion to take away from the New York International Auto Show, which played host to a bevy of new 4-door models.

    The most anticipated new sedan at the show was the all-new Cadillac CT6, a full-size sedan offered in either rear- or all-wheel drive positioned to take on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series. The CT6 not only ushers in new nomenclature for the car side of GM’s luxury division, but also debuts a new lightweight architecture and a new family of twin-turbo V6 and V8 engines. It is a make or break product in Cadillac’s bid for global parity among the top luxury cars. Cadillac’s longtime rival Lincoln showed off an early look at its own new flagship sedan, the Continental Concept.

    No less important to Jaguar/Land Rover Group is the remake of the mid-size Jaguar XF, which will share the aluminum-intensive approach introduced in the compact XE. In addition to hitting the show floor in New York, the car also bowed in London as part of a high wire act.

    In the mainstream market, the Nissan Maxima has also been redesigned and will again stress its performance-oriented suspension and drivetrain under the 4-door sports car positioning, Chevrolet’s much needed remake of the Malibu midsize sedan showed off completely new skin and a package that promises more rear legroom, while Kia took the covers off the next installment of its popular Optima midsize family car. At a more entry-level price point, Scion gave us a two-fer: The iA is that division’s first 4-door sedan, and it bowed alongside the all-new iM hatchback.

    Other non-SUV offerings include a new Chevrolet Spark hatchback, Smart hosted the American debut of its new Fortwo city car and McLaren flaunted the high-performance 570S Sport two-seater.

    And even though sedans dominated the New York Auto Show headlines, there were some significant SUV introductions, too. Making their world debuts were the Mercedes-Benz GLE a replacement for the current ML a redone Mitsubishi Outlander and perhaps most important of all, the all-new Lexus RX, a remake of the iconic crossover SUV that created the segment.

    Step 1: Find Out How Much You Can Afford

    Many of us may remember when buying a used car ranked right up there with a trip to the dentist. But times have changed and buying a used car need not be the horror it once was. Today’s consumer has so much information (at least, the information is available), as to make the experience of buying a used car far less stressful. This transformation will occur, however, only if you obey a rule taught to every first-grade student: DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

    Decide What You Want to Spend, and Can Spend

    Before considering the purchase of a used car, it is wise to establish the amount you are willing to spend or, if taking a loan, calculate your maximum monthly payment – and then make a firm commitment to stay within that amount.

    Once you figure out how much your payment should be, research your financing options. You can work out a loan with the dealership or manufacturer, but it is also possible to walk into a dealership with financing already secured through a third-party source, such as our official, preferred lender LightStream, an online lending division of SunTrust Bank. and the preferred lender of Kelley Blue Book. Third-party financing can generally be obtained without having to indicate a specific make or model of vehicle ahead of time. Some institutions will give you a lower interest rate if you have direct deposit and an electronic loan payment, so be sure to ask about these options when applying for financing.

    Don’t forget to consider the costs of tax, title, registration and insurance for your new car. As a very broad, general rule, and depending upon where you live, tax, license, assorted fees and other costs will add roughly 10 percent to the purchase price. This makes the price of a $30,000 car actually about $33,000 and, if you’re financing the deal, you will be paying interest on that additional amount. You should be able to afford the car as well as its costs of ownership. Insurance can be a deal-breaker for some, since some companies will raise your rates considerably, depending upon the type of vehicle you choose and your driving record. Typically, sport cars, anything with “turbo” or “supercharged” in the name, higher performance vehicles with larger or more powerful engines and vehicles with four-wheel drive will give you higher insurance rates. Also, consider that vehicles with histories of being stolen can demand a premium. It always pays to shop around, so check rates with your insurance company before you buy your new vehicle, and then quote & name your price on Progressive online to compare. Finally, if you have a long-standing and positive relationship with your current insurance company it may be best to stay with it, even though it may not offer the lowest of all rates.

    Be certain the car you desire can accommodate your daily needs.

    You may also want to consider an extended warranty plan. Chances are an extended warranty or service contract will be offered to you by the dealership. An extended warranty covers a wide range of repairs and services. The repairs can be done at any authorized dealership and tend to be easily approved. You won’t pay a penny for approved repairs unless your contract includes a deductible. You can also purchase an extended warranty from an independent company that could cost less than an extended service contract from a manufacturer.

    Once you’ve established a price limit, steer clear of vehicles that barely squeeze under it. Leave yourself some wiggle room and shop for a less flashy vehicle with lower mileage or an older one in tip-top shape. You wouldn’t want to buy the car of your dreams only to have it drain your bank account because you didn’t factor in all of the costs of ownership.

    Research the Right Car

    Many professionals will tell you that this is where huge numbers of buyers make their biggest mistakes. They don’t buy the vehicle that is best for their needs, but instead get smitten with something that doesn’t fulfill their requirements, costs far too much money or, typically, both. Figuring out how much you want to spend was the easy part; now you have to find the vehicle that’s right for you. But most buyers (yes, most), are not really sure what’s out there or even what they need and want. Here are some suggestions: First, make a list of all the things you need your vehicle to do (haul kids, go off-road, get good gas mileage, be absolutely reliable, maintain good re-sale value, be easy to park) and then make a second list of all the things you admire in a vehicle (body style, colors, luxury options). Cross-reference the two. You should end up with a list of required and desired characteristics, which you can use to eliminate models that won’t work for you (you can’t haul kids in a two-seat sports car or operate a full-size sport utility vehicle on an economy-car fuel budget).

    The Kelley Blue Book and Black Book are both price guides for used vehicles, but they’re used in radically different ways. Consumers are apt to run across Black Book values only when they sell their cars to vehicle resellers. Blue Book is directed squarely at consumers.

    For decades, the two guides were sold by subscription to automotive industry professionals, but the companies took different paths in the mid-1990s. Black Book continued to sell by subscription to “industry qualified users,” as the company puts it. Blue Book, however, became a consumer reference in the 1990s and makes its money from web advertising.

    While Blue Book and Black Book don’t compete directly, Blue Book does compete with Edmunds.com. Edmunds originally published information booklets for car buyers and started its website the same year Blue Book did, in 1995. Both include valuations for new cars as well.

    Black Book, which is part of the Hearst Business Media Corporation, gets its data from used-car auctions across the country — auctions where bulk-volume vehicle buyers get their stock. It captures and sorts out the selling prices to get usable data on specific vehicles’ values.

    Some Black Book users invest in portfolios of vehicles to spruce up and ship to a different region of the country or the world. Other subscribers include insurers tracking vehicle replacement values and car-lease companies that calculate their rates based on the value of the vehicle when it is returned to them.

    Kelley Blue Book says its valuations are based on “actual transactions,” and its print version covers values nationwide. Nevertheless, Blue Book valuations are emphatically local. You cannot get a price for selling your car or buying one without specifying your zip code.

    Blue Book wants your zip because local car dealers want your dollars, and Blue Book wants theirs. Every valuation comes with listings of cars available from dealers in your area.

    Blue Book values are updated weekly, the company says. Its valuations reportedly run higher than valuations on Edmunds.com, but you’ll want to check both whether you’re buying or selling.

    Selling Price

    If you’re buying a used car, you’ll start with the Blue Book search button labeled “Price New/Used Cars.” Although buyers can use a browse feature for car-model shopping, valuations hinge on precise information that you enter about make, model, trim, options, mileage, and even interior and exterior color.

    Fill in the search details and the site gives you the fair market value for that specific car. The value is a range, and the specific dollar value for your car is pinpointed on that range based on vehicle condition. The results page also tells you the number of dealers’ vehicles for sale that meet your precise search criteria, and even points out vehicles priced above or below market value.

    Asking Price

    If you’re selling a car, click on “Check My Car’s Value.” You’ll go through a series of valuation indicators, just as you do for valuing a car you want to buy. You can get trade-in values and private-sale values. Private sellers can list cars for sale just as dealers can.
