Rated 5 out of 5 by CinGeorge from Great Size! We love the amount of room inside the refrigerator! The doors are able to hold large bottles and even a 6-pack or 2 or 3. Large moveable shelves are plenty of space for all our food needs. Ice maker is awesome with the built in filter system So pleased with our new purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kaate from So far, so good I got this refrigerator in March 2017 through my home warranty when my other refrigerator died . It is roomy and keeps my food cold. I’m not a huge fan of the freezer drawer, but I do like the refrigerator on top. The only other thing I don’t like about it so far is that the ice maker is LOUD! I try not to use ice from the ice maker in the evening to avoid triggering it to kick on and make more ice because I don’t want it to wake me up during the night. I live in a small condo so there is no place to get away from the noise and I’m a light sleeper.

Liability Only Car Insurance #liability #only #car #insurance

Switching to Liability Only Car Insurance

Here’s what you need to know.

  • To switch to liability only car insurance, you must have a vehicle that is completely paid off
  • Liability pays for the repair or replacement of the other driver s car if you cause an automobile accident
  • Take the time to check out all the options for lowering the cost of your annual premiums

To switch to liability only car insurance, you must have a vehicle that is completely paid off and, ideally, has a low Kelly Blue Book value.

You should also only opt for liability only coverage as a last resort because you simply cannot afford other coverage.

Knowing when you should switch to liability only policy may seem rather complicated. You need to be well aware of the risks you are taking by only carrying liability insurance coverage.

You need to have investigated other options to help you save money. In addition, your car must be paid for because lien holders will not let you drop full coverage.

Enter your zip code above to receive free online car insurance quotes now!

What are the different parts of an insurance policy?

There are two primary parts of an auto insurance policy and several secondary, and usually optional, coverages available.

Liability pays for the repair or replacement of the other driver s car if you cause an automobile accident.

This portion also pays the medical bills and lost wages for all the occupants of the other car.

Comprehensive and collision are actually two separate entities but are usually sold together. Collision covers the costs to repair or replace your car if you cause an accident.

If the other driver is at fault, his liability would cover the damage. Comprehensive covers damage caused by events other than a traffic accident, like fire, flood, hail, etc. These carry a deductible.

The secondary coverages are things like uninsured motorist and medical payments.

Uninsured motorist insurance pays for your damages if an uninsured motorist causes an accident with your car. Since he doesn t have insurance, the likelihood of getting money from him is slim. Secondary coverage covers this circumstance.

Medical payments and PIP, or personal injury protection, both cover the medical expenses for everyone in your car if you cause an accident. PIP covers a bit more. like lost wages and funeral expenses. Usually, you cannot have both on a policy; it s an either/or choice.

You can also choose extras for your policy like towing and rental car reimbursement. These optional riders usually tack on only a few extra dollars a year.

Risks of Switching To Liability Only Policy

Switching to liability only car insurance is a big decision. It means that you will be taking on more of the financial risk associated with accidents.

If you were to have an at-fault accident you would have to pay for repairs or replacement of your car out of pocket.

Even worse, if you have an accident where you are not at fault but it is a hit and run or the driver has no insurance, you would still be stuck taking care of the damages yourself.

In addition, with liability coverage only, any medical problems relating to a car accident are yours to take care of. If you are struggling to afford car insurance rates then you may find that the cost of dealing with an accident is out of your budget too.

Things to Do Before Switching

Before switching to liability only car insurance, take the time to check out all the options for lowering the cost of your annual premiums. Car insurance companies take a variety of factors into consideration when setting rates.

Rates can be further reduced with certain discounts that you may be eligible for depending on the insurance company you check with.

  • You have a good driving record
  • You have taken driver training courses
  • You have home and car insurance with the same company
  • You drive your car a limited number of miles annually
  • You have factory installed anti-theft and safety devices on your car
  • All drivers are over a certain age
  • You live in a certain area

Discounts can be earned simply because you are a member of a certain group. Ask insurers directly to be sure you have all the applicable discounts.

You may also want to look at the cost of keeping your full coverage but increasing the deductibles on your collision and comprehensive coverage.

This is a good method of saving money on insurance when your vehicle is still financed and you can’t drop full coverage. Therefore if your vehicle’s value is worth it, investigate this option.

Consider retaining more than liability coverage on your car.

Even if you are a great driver, there is always the risk that you can be the victim of an accident at the hands of an uninsured or underinsured driver.

If you carry uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, it gives you protection if you are the victim of hit and run or an accident with an uninsured/underinsured driver.

How much insurance do I have to have?

Every state requires that you are financially responsible for damage you cause to another driver and his vehicle. In 49 states, this means you must carry liability insurance. The minimum amount varies by state .

To check what your state s minimum liability requirement is, see Edmund s article .

In addition to liability, some states require that every driver also to buy uninsured motorist protection.

A few states require that drivers also carry PIP as part of their car insurance. Those states are: Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, and Utah.

If you are still paying off an automobile loan, the lending institution will require you to carry comprehensive and collision throughout the lifetime of the loan. Failure to do so is cause for the car to be repossessed.

Purchasing Liability Only Car Insurance

If you decide to opt for car insurance with liability only, be sure that you have enough coverage. Many people choose to just carry the state-mandated limits, which are always very low.

Instead choose at least $100,000 bodily injury coverage per person, $300,000 per person and $100,000 property damage coverage. These are the suggested realistic limits that most insurance professionals advise you to carry.

By shopping around, you should be able to find very affordable car insurance options. In fact, everyone with car insurance should make it a habit of shopping around periodically and comparing and contrasting the available options for them in car insurance.

You can make your shopping around easy and quick by the free online auto insurance quotes tool on this page that practically does the shopping for you.

By simply inputting your zip code, the tool will ask you a variety of questions about the type of car you drive, your driving record and that of those who live with you, your needed coverage and how you use your car.

Before you know it you will have a variety of insurance quotes from top insurers serving your area. Compare them carefully for the price, as well as company reputation and stability, before making a decision.

Soap web services client/server code examples

Building and consuming a web service is easy in Visual Studio and other IDEs, but if you find yourself armed with only notepad.exe and needing to retrieve data in an ASP.Net web application via SOAP, the following method is an alternative way of communicating with web services.

First, we need an example web service in written in the language of your choice:

public class MyWebservice. WebService <
[WebMethod(Description=”Returns the sum of two numbers”, EnableSession=false)]
public int Add(int x, int y) <
return x + y;

WebService(Namespace:=”http://MyNameSpace/”) _
Public Class MyWebservice
Inherits WebService
WebMethod(Description := “Returns the sum of two numbers”, EnableSession := False) _
Public Function Add(x As Integer, y As Integer) As Integer
Return x + y
End Function
End Class

Save one of the above as webservice.asmx and put it on a web server with ASP.Net enabled.

To connect to the example web service from a web application and use the example script in the language of your choice: (replace “servername” with the host name of your webservice server)

script runat=”server”
public static string WebServiceRequest(string url, string requestBody, string xmlNS, string operation)
string returnText = “”;
HttpWebRequest hwRequest = (HttpWebRequest) WebRequest.Create(url);
hwRequest.Accept = “*/*”;
hwRequest.AllowAutoRedirect = true;
hwRequest.UserAgent = “http_requester/0.1”;
hwRequest.Timeout= 60000;
hwRequest.Method = “POST”;
hwRequest.ContentType = “text/xml; charset=utf-8”;
hwRequest.Headers.Add(“SOAPAction”, “\”” + xmlNS + operation + “\””);
UTF8Encoding encoding = new UTF8Encoding();
byte[] postByteArray = encoding.GetBytes(requestBody);
hwRequest.ContentLength = postByteArray.Length;
Stream postStream = hwRequest.GetRequestStream();
postStream.Write(postByteArray, 0, postByteArray.Length);
HttpWebResponse hwResponse = (HttpWebResponse) hwRequest.GetResponse();
if (hwResponse.StatusCode == HttpStatusCode.OK)
Stream responseStream = hwResponse.GetResponseStream();
StreamReader myStreamReader = new StreamReader(responseStream);
returnText = myStreamReader.ReadToEnd();
catch (Exception e)
returnText = “An error occurred: ” + e.Message;
return returnText;

string xmlRequestData =

xmlDoc.LoadXml(WebServiceRequest(“http://servername/webservice.asmx”, xmlRequestData, “http://MyNameSpace/”, “Add”));
XmlNodeList xmlNL = xmlDoc.GetElementsByTagName(“AddResult”);
for(int i=0; i xmlNL.Count; i++)
Response.Write(“The result is ” + xmlNL[i].InnerText);

hwRequest.ContentType = “text/xml; charset=utf-8”
hwRequest.Headers.Add(“SOAPAction”, “””” xmlNS operation “”””)
hwRequest.Timeout = 60000
hwRequest.Method = “POST”
Dim encoding As New UTF8Encoding()
Dim postByteArray() As Byte = encoding.GetBytes(requestBody)
hwRequest.ContentLength = postByteArray.Length
Dim postStream As Stream = hwRequest.GetRequestStream()
postStream.Write(postByteArray, 0, postByteArray.Length)
Dim hwResponse As HttpWebResponse = hwRequest.GetResponse()
If hwResponse.StatusCode = HttpStatusCode.OK Then
Dim responseStream As StreamReader = _
New StreamReader(hwResponse.GetResponseStream())
returnText = responseStream.ReadToEnd()
End If
Catch e As Exception
returnText = “An error occurred: ” e.Message
End Try
WebServiceRequest = returnText
End Function

Dim xmlRequestData As String = _
” ?xml version=””1.0″” encoding=””utf-8″”? ” vbcrlf _
” soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi=”””” xmlns:xsd=”””” xmlns:soap=”””” ” vbcrlf _
” soap:Body ” vbcrlf _
” Add xmlns=””http://MyNameSpace/”” ” vbcrlf _
” x 2 /x ” vbcrlf _
” y 3 /y ” vbcrlf _
” /Add ” vbcrlf _
” /soap:Body ” vbcrlf _
” /soap:Envelope “
Dim xmlDoc As New XmlDocument
xmlDoc.loadXML(WebServiceRequest(“http://servername/webservice.asmx”, xmlRequestData, “http://MyNameSpace/”, “Add”))
Dim xmlNL As XmlNodeList = xmlDoc.GetElementsByTagName(“AddResult”)
For i As Integer = 0 To xmlNL.Count – 1
Response.Write(“The result is ” xmlNL(i).InnerText)

Save one of the above as webserviceconsumer.aspx and put it on a web server with ASP.Net enabled. When called, the result will be “5”. You can then change the xmlRequestData string, the WebServiceRequest() parameters and XML response handling to interface with other web services.

Dissertation Advice and Resources for the Rest of Us #dissertation #experts

You cannot understand what you cannot measure.

Measurement matters. At some point in the dissertation development process, everyone needs to confront the issue of measurement. We ve found that many if not most students have a fuzzy sense at best of how to define and measure important characteristics of the concepts or phenomena they propose to study. While measurement may be less of an issue in qualitative studies, careful definition and operational measurement of variables and indicators is essential in all quantitative work.

Likert-type scales are commonly used in surveys and other quantitative work, but it is essential to understand how the underlying constructs are measured with Likert scales, and the assumptions and limitations that accompany use of such a measure.

See our updated discussion of this measurement approach here:

Data collection using surveys and/or interviews is ubiquitous in doctoral research, but often these instruments are weakly validated, if at all. Pretests of instruments are helpful, but usually consist of informal review by one or two supposed experts , and lack rigor and credibility. Data is often reported in generalities and, and thematic analysis is frequently vague and insubstantial. Rarely are such instruments subjected to structured analysis and evaluation criteria.

Use of a validation rubric for surveys and interviews is an excellent strategy to overcome common weaknesses in surveys and interviews. This Survey/Interview Validation Rubric developed by Marilyn Simon and Jacquelyn White is a useful tool in assessing the validity and credibility of an instrument and the data that results.

Tense is an important element of dissertation writing. Some of the most common writing problems we see as dissertation mentors relate to tense. Early proposal drafts are frequently riddled with tense errors. Confusion over the proper tense to use in particular situations, and the differences in tense usage between a dissertation proposal and the final dissertation, are both prone to confusion and with good reason because the rules change depending on the context.

Our updated recipe, below, addresses this problem and provides guidance on how to use tense correctly.

Laser, Skin and Vein Treatments

We have a full range of dermatologic lasers and we will choose the best laser for your unique requirements. Multiple lasers under one roof allow us to choose the best laser for you rather that try to treat you with one option. This is the reason we recommend a consultation with our doctor prior to your laser treatment. We have seen numerous patients with injuries caused by cheap IPLs used by inexperienced operators. More important and common perhaps is sub-optimal treatment and failure to notice results. IPL and lasers are fantastic tools but operator experience and skill is what produces results. We are one of a few clinics in the country to have full range of medical lasers to choose from. We invest in new technology on a regular basis bringing you latest treatment advances.

Vascular and pigment removal lasers

for vascular lesions, telangiectasia, facial and leg veins, venous lakes, warts, verrucae, birthmarks and pigmentation problems.

Lasers for facial and leg veins

We use a powerful Nd-YAG laser system for leg veins. This can be used alone or with the IPL . PDL or our other lasers for superficial and small blood vessels, broken capillaries, thread veins and spider veins. Our non-ablative Nd-yag laser is also used for skin tightening and facial rejuvenation.

The 1064 nm wavelength produced by the Nd-YAG laser is excellent for treatment and clearance of superficial and deep telangiectasias and reticular veins of the legs.

We can use sclerotherapy or laser treatment depending on your veins, medical history, skin type and preference.

IPL, PDL, diode and NdYag lasers are used for the treatment of facial veins.

Sometimes a combination approach is required for best results. As we have multiple technologies for vein treatments we are able to select best form of treatment for you.

Lasers for skin treatments

Pulse dye laser 585 nm for skin rejuvenation vascular lesions.

Regenlite [ the new n-lite] laser for acne treatment and control.

Q switched KTP laser 532 nm for pigment, freckles and birthmark removal.

Q switched Ruby laser 695 nm. For treatment of pigmentation and age spots. Green, Blue and black tattoo removal.

Alexandrite laser 755 nm. Excellent for pigmentation and age spots.

Varilase diode laser 810 nm for EVLT for varicose veins.

Q switched Nd-yag laser – Our q-switched Nd-yag laser is used for for dark coloured tattoo removal and for removal of pigmented lesions such as sun spots and age spots. It is also used for a quick lunch time laser facial and laser toning.

350 us Nd-Yag laser for rosacea and skin rejuvenation.

Long pulsed Nd-yag laser for closing larger blood vessels

Skin resurfacing and tightening lasers

Fractional laser resurfacing – We use CO2 laser which at 10600 nm is considered ‘king’ of ablative lasers. This is used for wrinkles, pigmentation, sun spots, texural changes and acne and other scars.

Laser peel – A superficial laser peel can be performed if concern is mainly colour and texture of skin. This is a minimal downtime procedure and does not have risks associated with deeper chemical peels.

Madonna eyelift – eyelid skin tightening

Nd-yag laser- for deep dermal heating and stimulation of collagen synthesis which leads to skin tightening.

Liposuction and endovenous lasers

Varilase diode 810 nm laser for EVLT

Hair removal lasers

Alexandrite laser – We use the ‘gold standard’ alexandrite laser for hair removal in addition to two different types of IPL and Nd-yag laser.

What is the screening process that Service Professionals go through in order to become members of the HomeAdvisor network?

  1. Verify Trade License

HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license.

  • Verify Insurance

    As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services.

  • Verification of State Business Filings

    For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located.

  • Criminal Records Search

    HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business.

  • Sex Offender Search

    We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located.

  • Bankruptcy Search

    We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them.

  • Legal Search for Civil Judgments

    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them.

  • Liens Search

    We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them.

  • Identity Verification (SSN)

    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.

  • Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)

    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
