More Information about our online Car Loan Calculator

Our online car loan calculator is a good tool to get a basic understanding of your personal budget in regards to how much you may want to borrow and how many years you would like to do the loan over.

You must ensure though, that you treat these calculators as a tool only, as lot of broker websites are also using these calculators as a tool for marketing purposes. The best online calculators are the ones that allow you to adjust all the relevant fields and should not be any less than borrow amount, interest rate. term of the loan and balloon or residual payment .

If there is anything less than those fields, what you may find is that the website will quote the lowest interest rate available, which is most likely unachievable and with a balloon repayment which may not be something you want, or something that may not be available on the type of car you are looking to purchase.

You may also find that due to the repayments being much cheaper than you expected, you may be more than happy to hand over your information for one of their consultants to ring you back and the marketing purpose of the online calculator has done its duty without giving you what you were really looking for.

Once they ring you back, they will then advise that the car loan repayments quoted doesn’t apply to your circumstances for various reasons and start the sales process. I know of websites that if you calculate the weekly payment over the term of the loan, it doesn’t even pay back the car purchase price, so it will definitely be way cheaper than what anyone else has advised and a cheeky way of extracting your information. They do this by applying massive balloon or residual payments that most likely wouldn’t qualify for approval by any lender and put this in the fine print disclaimer.

Car loan calculators will never take into account many factors, such as any setup or ongoing costs to establish the loan, or the vehicle you are purchasing, such as age, private sale or dealership sale and also which lenders would approve your loan, so you should always speak to a professional to get something that is accurate and tailored to your personal situation and proposed vehicle purchase. This can usually be done obligation free with companies such as and they can also advice on many other considerations in regards to affordability and loan terms based on vehicle type and age.

Car Loan Options: Used Auto Loans vs. New Car Loans #auto #financing

Auto Loan: New Used Car Loan Options

Most people today need a loan when they buy a new or used car and the high cost of many vehicles often means that consumers spend years paying off the auto loan. The average length of a car loan at the start of 2015 was 67 months, about five months longer than it was in 2010.

The trend is going even longer with 30% of car loans now stretched between 72 and 84 months. The average amount financed in 2015 was $28,711 with average monthly payments of $485, a record high for both length of loan and amount financed.

Types of Auto Loans

Not all car loans are alike. The most common types of car loans include:
  • Simple Interest Loans are the most common type of auto financing available. The interest rate is based on the outstanding balance of the loan. Borrowers can save on interest costs by paying more than their standard

monthly payment.

  • Pre-Computed Loans refer to financing where all interest and principal payments are pre-calculated before the borrower and lender agree and sign the paperwork. Although this loan was widely used in the past, most people don’t opt for this restrictive method of financing because it doesn’t allow for early repayment of the loan.
  • Much more risky is borrowing money based on equity in the car you already own. These car title loans mostly appeal to people who have fallen on hard times and need cash they cannot borrow elsewhere. Interest rates on these short-term loans can be sky-high, and a borrower who fails to pay can find himself deeper in debt and at risk of losing his car.

Now that you understand the various loan options available for purchasing a car, buyers have a number of potential sources for securing the necessary financing.

The most common places to secure auto loans are:
    • Banks. Getting financed through a bank is typically the easiest route because commercial and private banks have large pools of capital. A bank could be your best bet if you are looking for the lowest interest rate. Banks can also be a quicker and more convenient source for car loans because they are structured to make a large number of transactions in a short period of time.
    • Credit Unions. These nonprofit organizations can offer competitive interest rates, but you need to be a member to utilize their services. Criteria for membership varies, but credit unions may focus on people who work in specific industries, live in a certain area or belong to a particular group.
    • Car Dealerships. Car dealerships offer financing to help sell cars. They often have established relationships with lenders, which can help you get a loan quickly and without a lot of legwork on your part. Keep in mind, however, that dealers typically make a considerable profit on loans, so it pays to understand the interest rate and other terms being offered.
    • Home Equity Loans. These are an alternative to a traditional auto loan. Financial institutions often lend money to borrowers based on the equity in their homes, called a home equity loan. This money can be used for many purposes but a popular one with many borrowers is buying a new or used vehicle. One particularly attractive feature is that interest on these loans is typically tax-deductible.

How Does Car Loan Interest Work?

The typical automobile loan is calculated using simple interest, meaning you pay interest only on the principal owed.

This is similar to the method used in repaying mortgages and student loans, but vastly different from the method used with credit cards, where compound interest creates a much larger bill for the borrower.

For example, a simple interest automobile loan of $18,000 at an interest rate of 9.9 percent (typical in 2015 for someone with credit score of 640) would mean monthly payments of $332.55 and cost $23,944 when the loan is paid off.

Compare that to the same loan, using compound interest. The $18,000 loan would end up costing $32,522. Interest payments alone would be $14,523. That is why credit card debt builds so rapidly and why you should insist on a simple interest loan when buying a car.

Car Loan Rate Tied To Credit Score

Your credit score determines how much of the car a lender is willing to finance. You probably have heard advertisements for “zero percent interest” from dealers. They do exist, but you must have a credit score of 750 or higher to get them.

If you have bad credit (such as a credit score under 550), the best you can hope for is they will finance 80% of the car’s value and you will have to make up the remaining 20% with a down payment.

Credit scores and interest rates operate in a see-saw fashion on auto loans. As your credit score rises, the interest rate you pay drops. If your credit score drops, the interest rate goes up.

For example, in 2015, a credit score of 740 would get you a 72-month loan at 2.9%. A credit score 100 points lower (640) and you’ll be paying 9.9%. Drop another 20 points to 620 and the rate goes up to 12.49%.

To put that in dollar terms, if you finance $18,000 for the car, the difference between a very good credit score (740) and an average score (640) is $4,311 over the life of the loan. The difference between the very good and poor score (620) is $6,035 over the course of six years.

    Car Loan With Bad Credit

It is not impossible to buy a new car with bad credit, but lending institution can make it very difficult and definitely expensive.

Lenders know they are at considerable risk by making car loans to people with bad credit or no credit so they take as many steps as possible to minimize the danger. It is not unusual for them to ask for a substantial down payment and charge an interest rate that is at least 10 points higher than someone with good credit pays.

This allows the banks to get closer to break even if the borrower defaults on the loan two or three years after purchase. A car loan is a secured, which means the vehicle serves as collateral on the debt. If you fail to make your payments, the lender can seize it as payment. This is much safer for the lender than unsecured debt, such as a credit card account. where the lender has only the card-holder’s promise to pay.

A borrower with bad credit has some financing choices, but they are limited. The borrower’s best recourse is to start with a clean record, meaning pay off any outstanding car loans and other debts before shopping for a new car. That not only improves your credit score, it allows time to save up a down payment. Another option is a shorter loan term. Although the average car loan is 72 months or longer, ask for a 48-month term and the interest rate will drop by a percentage point or two.

The next possible option is to save until you have a large down payment. If you can cover at least 20-30 percent of the cost with a down payment and take advantage of any dealer incentives and rebates when buying the car, you help avoid being in an upside-down position when financing the car. You may still have to pay double-digit interest rates at the start of a loan, depending on your credit score, but two or three years down the road, you can look for an opportunity to refinance the loan when your credit score has improved.

If you have poor or no credit you should also consider purchasing a used car that is 1-to-3 years old. You would enjoy a sizeable reduction in price, which means borrowing less and paying less interest in the process. The good news is that interest rates on financing a late model car should be similar, if not exactly the same, as purchasing the car new.

    Negotiating A Better Car Deal

There may be room to negotiate the final price of the car, but there is little or no room to bargain when it comes to financing the car.

Smart buyers know their credit score before they start looking for a car and use that information to get pre-approved for a loan from their bank or credit union.

When you decide the car model you want to buy, it’s possible to take the terms from your bank into the dealership and ask them to beat it, but only if your credit score supports it.

Most dealerships have relationships of their own with banks and credit unions, but use a customer’s credit score as the measuring stick for what interest rate to charge on the loan. It’s possible there might be a light difference, but seldom enough to change a deal.

    What About Leasing?

As car costs have risen, leasing has become a popular alternative to buying. In recent years, leases have comprised more than 30% of new vehicle transactions.

On the surface, leasing and buying with a loan may look similar. Both involve payments over time, but what you are buying is different.

With a car loan, you eventually will pay off the loan and own the car. Your payments end and you have the option of keeping the car as long as you like — or as long as you can keep it running – or selling it.

With a lease, you likely will have a lower down payment, lower monthly payments and lower maintenance costs compared to taking out an auto loan. This is part of the appeal of a lease.

However, at the end of the lease you do not own the car. At this point you have two options: buy the vehicle, which can require taking out a loan, or begin a whole new lease

    Getting the Cheapest Auto Insurance

There are many factors that come into play for car insurance rates. If you’re just looking for a basic policy to cover your legal liability for an at-fault accident, you’ll get the best rates. The amount you pay will depend on many factors like the type of car you own, how old the car is and your driving record. Other important factors include where you live, how many miles you drive and how often.

If you need insurance to cover more than just the basics, you’ll still find the best rates at Whether you want to add Collision, Theft or Injury coverage, you can be assured a good quote when you shop around.

    Insuring Your Transportation Investment

Many of our partners even carry GAP insurance to cover the difference between the purchase price of a new or leased car and the actual cash value. Because new cars lose value as soon as you drive them away from the dealership, you could lose hundreds or even thousands of dollars if you have an accident. The standard car insurance policy only covers the cost to replace your car with a similarly depreciated one. The difference between the purchase price and the depreciated value could come out of your pocket if there is a total loss accident.

While you can get Gap insurance from the car dealership, the policies are often pricey, relying on consumer impulse to sell the insurance. That’s why getting a quote on GAP insurance from an auto insurance company is a smart move. While not all car insurance companies carry GAP insurance, companies like GMAC Insurance, AIG, and Nationwide do sell the coverage.

How to Choose the Right Car Insurance Company

Some of the insurance companies we partner with have very competitive rates. You may get two quotes within dollars of each other. When this happens, you’ll need to look into both companies to choose the one that has the best financial rating and offers the best customer service.

You can check an insurance company’s financial stability through AM Best ratings. A good rating means you can be sure the company will still be around to pay a claim if an accident happens.

Customer service is important to minimize billing problems and make sure any claims you file go smoothly. Check out what others have to say about the service they received from a company before you sign up

An example of these types of lifts are your storage lifts .

    • 7,000-40,000lb 4 Post Car Lift 4″ minimum. 3000 PSI concrete
    • Storage lifts and car lifts with larger footprints do not have specific concrete requirements

When preparing to install a two or four post lift, and you are unsure of the PSI or the thinkness needed for the concrete, it is recommended to pour concrete pads. The pads need to be 12 wider on each side from the base plates of the lift. When pouring for a two post lift, you will need to go down at least 2′, and go down at least 6 for a four post. It is a must to have new concrete cure a minimum of 28 days before installing your car lift.

People who use their car for business and long-distance commuting normally pay a higher car insurance premium than those who drive less.

Your Age, Sex and Marital Status

    Car Financing Options

You’re sitting in the dealership when the salesperson asks, “So, how are you going to finance your new car?”

The question leaves you a little confused. What is he really asking?

In the car business, the term financing is loosely used to mean that the dealership will either provide you with an auto loan to buy the car or lease the car to you. The opposite of “financing a car” would be buying it outright with one cash payment.

Although you can take out a bank loan to finance your car, many people like the convenience of getting a loan through the dealership. They can walk in, choose a car, fill out a credit application and drive away in a new car. They can do this at night or on the weekends when banks and credit unions are closed.

In exchange for this service, the dealer will often charge you more for your auto loan. How much more? That depends. If you have sterling credit, you might get a competitive interest rate and be eligible for special programs that lower your cost. However, if you have bad credit, or no credit, the dealer might charge a much higher interest rate for taking what is perceived as a risk on loaning you money.

So, going back to the salesperson’s question, “How are you going to finance your new car?” your answer could be one of three things:

    1. “I want to buy the car.”
    2. “I want to lease the car.”
    3. “I will be paying cash for the car.”

Let’s look in more detail at each of these financing options so you can know what to expect at the dealership:

“I want to buy the car.”

If you decide to buy the car and you want the dealership to help you finance it, you will be asked to fill out a credit application. Based on your credit score. an auto loan will be arranged through the dealership’s lending institution based on the negotiated price of the car and related expenses (sales tax, title and licensing fees). Loaning money is big business, and most auto manufacturers have their own companies to arrange car loans. For example, Nissan cars are often financed through Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.

You will probably be asked how quickly you want to pay off your new car. Most auto loans are from three to five years — 36 to 60 monthly payments. Different lengths of time can be arranged, if desired. Obviously, the longer you take to pay off the loan, the lower the payments will be. In addition, the amount of your monthly payment will depend on the interest rate, the length of the loan and the amount of your down payment. Keep in mind that the dealership will urge you to make a large down payment.

While you are paying off the balance you owe on your car, the lending institution will hold the car’s title. Once all the payments are made, the car’s title is sent to you and you finally own the car.

“I want to lease the car.”

If you decide to lease the car, you will also be asked to fill out a credit application. Based on your credit score, and the length of the auto lease you want, the dealer will shop for a lease for you. Using a sophisticated computer program, numerous banks will be contacted. Each bank will have different terms and conditions.

You will need to decide how long you want to lease for (we strongly recommend three years). Also, you need to decide how much you want to pay upfront (we recommend you pay as little as possible to start the lease — tell the dealer you want to pay “drive-off fees only”).

Most auto lease contracts allow you to drive the car 12,000 miles a year. If you typically drive more than this, ask that the car lease be written for 15,000 miles or even 18,500 miles. This will raise your monthly payments but save you money in the long run.

Your contract will contain a residual price for the car you are leasing. When you have made all the lease payments, you can then buy the car for this residual price (or you can sometimes negotiate an even lower price to buy the car for). If you decide to return the car to the leasing company, they may charge you for excessive wear and tear to the vehicle. If the car is in great shape, you can get your security deposit back or use it to start the lease of another new car.

“I will be paying cash for the car.”

Paying cash for a new car makes the transaction very simple — all you need to do is negotiate the price of the car and then write the dealer a check for this amount. This removes several variables from the negotiation process: the down payment, the interest rate and the monthly payment. Negotiating in this manner means the dealership can’t disguise the true cost of the car.

Wait a second, you say, who has the dough sitting around to buy a new car outright? What we’re really saying is to borrow the cash from an outside source so you can be a “cash buyer” at the dealership.

There are many lending institutions that make loans for new cars. will even arrange a loan over the Internet. Again, the process begins with filling out a credit application. If approved, you will be given a credit limit and issued a check (sometimes called a draft or bank draft ) that can be made out to a dealership. The lending institution will hold the car’s title while you make all the agreed-upon payments. When the balance is paid off, you will get the car’s title.

That is an overview of the credit process you are likely to encounter at the dealership. There are several different strategies for buyers to reduce their costs at the dealership. For more information on these subjects, review the other finance and credit stories available on

Car Finance – Compare The Best Deals on Cheap Car Loans #auto #world

Whatever you need a loan for, our Smart Search can help:

    Car finance deals

Buying a new car whether it is a brand new model or a secondhand vehicle is exciting. Arranging the finance deal you need to cover the cost, however, is not.

While many people spend hours comparing and contrasting different makes and models and then haggle hard to get the price down, the number of people who take the time to scour the market for the best car finance deal is much smaller as a result.

However, paying over the odds to borrow the money to pay for a car can easily wipe out any reduction you manage to get on the price paid and make the vehicle cost a lot more overall.

In fact, you could end up paying thousands of pounds over the odds, which is why it s worth understanding the various options and checking the interest rates and charges available.

The different types of car finance

    Hire Purchase plans

Hire purchase (HP) plans typically require you to put down an upfront deposit (though in some cases this can be your existing car) and commit to a set number of monthly instalments.

Once all the instalments have been paid, the car which you can drive from the start of the agreement is yours.

In the meantime, however, the HP provider has the right to repossess your vehicle at any point if you fall behind on your payments. But repossession is a detailed process not to mention one of last resort. For example, you will first be sent written notice to give you the chance to pay your arrears. And if you can t, a specific court order is required before your car can be taken back.

It is also worth noting that you will not be able to privately sell the car until you have paid the final instalment (which may be larger than the others) and, while it’s worth looking at Voluntary Termination rights, ending the agreement early is likely to result in a penalty. You may be able to part-exchange your vehicle and refinance the existing loan, though this could incur higher interest rates and longer tie-ins.

    Personal loans

A low-rate loan is almost always a much better way of paying for a car than a hire purchase agreement. What s more, you can sell a car to pay off a personal loan should you become unable to keep up with the repayments.

However, the lowest personal loan rates are often limited to loans of between 7,500 and 15,000. So if you were thinking about borrowing 6,000, it may be worth increasing the amount to 7,500 to take advantage of the cheapest interest rates.

If you need to borrow as larger amount, on the other hand, you may find that you can get a lower rate by using your home as security. Just remember that your property will be at risk if you default on the repayments.

Either way, the MoneySupermarket loans channel is a great place to compare hundreds of deals from a wide range of lenders.

    0% credit cards

For cheaper second-hand car purchases, a credit card offering 0% for an introductory period could prove the smartest choice.

However, you will need to be disciplined enough to avoid incurring high interest rates at the end of the 0% period.

It is also worth noting that these deals like the cheapest personal loans are limited to people with good credit scores.

    Leasing agreements

Leasing agreements are basically long-term rental contracts with which you pay a monthly fee to use a car for an agreed period and number of miles.

They are popular with those keen to drive a brand new car without paying for it upfront, and come in two main forms: Personal Contract Hire (PCH) and Personal Contract Purchase (PCP).

With PCH, you can have a new car every few years without having to buy it at the end of the arrangement, while with PCP you buy the car at the end of the leasing agreement. Either way, remember to check the terms and conditions carefully for penalties and extra charges.

Moneysupermarket is a credit broker this means we ll show you products offered by lenders. We never take a fee from customers for this broking service. Instead we are usually paid a fee by the lenders though the size of that payment doesn t affect how we show products to customers.

    Car Dealers Advice and Services

Car Dealers have a difficult job to do. They need to convince you to part with a large amount of your money in exchange for a new or used car. They go about this in a couple of ways. Either offer you a deal you can’t refuse, or they can use your lack of knowledge to their advantage and over charge you for a car. We can help give you the knowledge so that the only other option out there is the good deal.

Step 1 – Understand how car dealers work

Begin by reading our “8 Tips for Dealing with Dealers “. There is some very useful information about how car dealers work, and how to prepare for the negotiation.

Step 2 – Figure out what price dealers have to work with

If you go into a dealership and offer $20,000 for a $40,000 car, chances are you will get laughed out of the car dealership. That’s because the dealer paid much more than $20,000 and is not going to lose money on the car. If you figured out that with Dealer Incentives. and kickbacks, that the dealer only paid $32,000 for the car, an offer of $34,000 may be accepted. You can Compute Car Dealer Price and learn what amount the dealer is working with.

Step 3 – Get a quote from a dealer in your area

    Car Buying and the Internet

Let your fingers do the walking so your feet don’t have to! Use the Internet to help put you behind the wheel of your very own vehicle.

Photo courtesy Taken by Scott Jacobs

Whether you’re buying new or used, there’s no doubt that the Internet is a great tool for your car quest. If you are buying a new car, you can research the kind of car you want, the options you need, the price of the car and the price of the additional options. If you’ve done your homework, you’ll be able to walk into a dealership armed with loads of valuable information.

When you’re just starting out, a good first step is to go to the manufacturers’ Web sites to check out the cars and the available options. You can usually find local dealers and request quotes or see the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Once you’ve narrowed your choices, you can check out an array of other Web sites for more pricing information:

Make sure you go to more than one pricing site to get the best idea of the average price.

In addition to using the Internet to research the car you want to buy, you can also use it to figure out your finance options and select a warranty for your car. Sites like E-Loan and Lending Tree offer online auto loans. A warranty is a contract that guarantees maintenance if your car has any mechanical or other problems. Remember that warranties are another way for dealers to get more money out of your bank account, so know what kind of warranty you want and how much you are willing to pay for it.

Now that you know where to start looking for information, let’s take a closer look at what you should know before you go shopping.

    Odometer Fraud

The odometer lets you know how many miles the car has driven. A used car’s mileage affects its selling price. For instance, the more miles the car has logged the lower the cost of the car. Because high mileage can decrease the selling price, some unscrupulous people practice odometer fraud. Although it is a crime to try to roll back or change the odometer reading, that doesn’t stop people from doing it.

    Capital One Review

Capital One Auto Finance provides a lot of features for their visitors, including a secured site, meaning that your information is safe and encrypted, making it virtually impossible to fall into the wrong hands. In addition to this, they re an accredited site with the Better Business Bureau, a consumer-oriented watchdog site that provides strict guidelines concerning customer service and satisfaction. You have the ability to apply online, and they do offer automobile refinancing. Online calculators help you tally up your estimated monthly payments if you should go with Capital One Auto Finance, and the available information can help you determine which route you should take. Overall, Capital One has a lot of different features that make the process easier and simpler for you.

    Payment Options

Capital One has excellent customer support, including a section that outlines frequently asked questions. This makes it easy for you to find the answers to your commonly asked questions without having to contact a representative of the site. If you should still want to speak with a representative, there are phone numbers and email addresses available that you can use to do so. Most companies do not offer all three options, so Capital One Auto Finance has the upper hand in this category.

There is no cost to apply online with Capital One Auto Finance, and the fees and monthly payments you will make are dependent upon several things. This includes the type of loan you receive, whether you re purchasing a new or used vehicle, what the length of the loan is and your credit score. The minimum loan amount is $7,500, but the website does not indicate a maximum loan amount. Estimated interest rates are available for each different kind of loan, and Capital One Auto Finance does seem to be competitive in this area.

    Types of Loans

Capital One Auto Finance offers new and used vehicle loans, automobile loan refinancing, and the Blank Check option which means you can negotiate with a dealer the same way you would if you were paying cash. You must qualify for this program. Estimated APR amounts are as follows:

    • New Car: 36 Months at 3.95%, 48 or 60 Months at 4.25%, 66 or 72 Months at 5.25%
    • Used Car: 36 Months at 4.45%, 48 or 60 Months at 4.90%, 66 or 72 Months at 5.95%
    • Auto Refinance: Rates as low as 4.34%

Online auto loan companies have to be competitive to stay in business, and Capital One Auto Finance is doing just that in all departments, most notably help and support and features. Overall, this seems like a great choice whether you re searching for new or used automobile loans, or refinancing options.

    #auto calculator

Get an estimate of what your car accident settlement amount could be.

Calculating the settlement value of a car accident claim is not a straightforward process, but it’s possible to arrive at a rough estimate of compensable damages by examining the numbers in your case. Gather all your claim-related records together (including medical bills, vehicle damage estimates, and records of time missed at work) and plug your information into this calculator. What you’ll end up with is a very rough estimate of the economic and non-economic damages that might be involved in your case.

Keep in mind that there is no universal, foolproof formula that can tell you what your car accident case is worth (learn more about various car accident settlement formulas ). Settlement of any injury claim usually depends more on mastering the art of negotiation than on breaking down numbers. This calculator is intended to provide a rough starting estimate of compensable damages in a car accident claim, and is not a substitute for legal advice.

NOTE: In the fields below, be sure to enter a “0” if a category of damages does not apply to your case. The calculator has trouble with blank fields.

    California Car Insurance

California car insurance is required under state law. Learn what average California car insurance rates are for your gender and age based on coverage limits and deductibles, as well as all the details you need to know about car insurance in California.

California car insurance laws require that you must carry at least $15,000 worth of bodily injury liability coverage for anyone you injure, up to $30,000 per accident, and at least $5,000 to cover property damage. This is commonly shown in this format: 15/30/5.

    California car insurance requirements

Here are the types of California car insurance you must have:

    • Bodily injury liability: Pays, up to your policy limits, for injuries others receive in an accident caused by you or other drivers listed on your policy. You are required to carry a minimum of $15,000 in bodily injury coverage and $30,000 per accident.
    • Property damage liability: Covers, up to your limits, damage you cause to other cars or property. You must have a minimum of $5,000 property damage liability coverage.

    Here are optional coverages:

    • Collision: Pays for damage to your car from an accident.
    • Comprehensive insurance: Pays to replace stolen cars and for damages to your car from theft, fire, flooding, hail, animal strikes, falling objects and vandalism.
    • MedPay and Personal Injury Protection (PIP): Covers you, your passengers and other authorized drivers of your car who are injured while in your insured vehicle. Both typically also cover you and your family members if you are injured while riding in someone else’s car or if struck by another vehicle while on foot.
    • Uninsured motorist/Underinsured motorist: Pays for medical bills, and those of your passengers, if you are hit by a driver who is uninsured. It may also cover lost income and pain and suffering. In cases where the other driver has insurance, but it isn t enough to cover the bills, underinsured motorist bodily injury makes up the difference between his policy limits and yours.
    • Rental car: Pays for a rental while your car is being fixed or replaced.
    • Towing: Pays for your car to be towed after an accident or breakdown.

The first Grand Theft Auto game to feature an interactable camera was Grand Theft Auto: Vice City . although the player could only use it in one mission. Tourists are seen with cameras, even though when the player kills them, they can’t get their camera.

The device was also available in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas . albeit with more functionality, allowing Carl to use it freely. It can be used in San Fierro to collect snapshots. which is required to achieve 100% completion. The camera has a capacity of 36 pictures per film, and pictures taken can be saved. If the player recruits a gang member. the player can give the camera to him by walking up to him and pulling the left trigger. After that, the game is viewed through the perspective of the gang member and pictures of CJ can be taken. The player can also aim the camera at a girlfriend and CJ will say something related to photo-shooting and she will wave. If you aim the camera at a gang member, CJ will say something like he says to his girlfriend, but the gang member will not respond or wave unless the player has recruited him.

In Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories . the camera is only obtained in particular missions. However, unlike GTA Vice City. the camera can be kept in the player’s inventory for the remainder of the game. In GTA LCS. one can get a camera by doing the Tourist missions and when the same have access, steal it.

    HD Universe

In Grand Theft Auto IV . Niko Bellic ‘s phone is equipped with a Whiz camera phone during the mission Photo Shoot. The camera is used in certain missions where a picture is required. Outside of missions, snapshots can be taken, but there is no way of saving them. Accessing the camera function of the phone when in a train or cable car allows for first-person view inside these vehicles (something missing in the standard views). In a player-controlled vehicle; however, the car will stop immediately when the camera is selected, no matter what speed (this glitch was fixed in the PC version). In some tourist spot like Firefly Projects. some pedestrians are seen using the camera. When they drop the camera, the player can pick it, but are still unable to use it (instead the player can throw it like other objects ). In The Ballad Of Gay Tony . in the first club management mission at Maisonette 9. where Luis Fernando Lopez have to save Clay Jackson  from paparazzi, the paparazzi are using cameras with a different design to that of GTA IV (obviously long-range lens). Although they can’t be used by the player, they can be picked up and thrown like other objects.

In Grand Theft Auto V . the camera is replaced by the Snapmatic app on smartphones. Snapmatic has the same function as regular cameras, but allows users to take selfies or use filters. In the mission Paparazzo. Franklin follows Miranda Cowan’s Limo so Beverly Felton can take pictures of the actress consuming drugs. Subsequent Paparazzo missions also feature the use of cameras. In the mission Casing the Jewel Store. Lester  gives Michael  a pair of glasses fitted with a camera, to study Vangelico’s  vents and security systems, which can’t be used outside of missions.

Canadian car parts suppliers poised for growth – The Globe and Mail #autohaus

Canadian car parts suppliers poised for growth Add to.

Auto sales in the United States – still Canada’s most important parts market despite boom times in China and South America – rose 13.5 per cent in 2012 to nearly 14.5 million vehicles. This year, U.S. sales will reach 15.3 million vehicles, estimates Polk, a Southfield, Mich.-based research firm.

Polk cites low interest rates, a healthier housing sector and a wave of new vehicles introduced by major auto makers as reasons for the growth. Consumers are eager to trade in their worn-out vehicles after delaying purchases during tough times.

“They’re facing the best decade in their history,” said Dennis DesRosiers, an industry consultant in Richmond Hill, Ont. “No later than two years from now, we’re going to have a record level of production in North America, and if you produce record numbers of vehicles, you’re going to have record (parts) supply.”

The steady recovery by Ford Motor Co. General Motors Co. and Fiat SpA’s Chrysler Group LLC from their recession-induced slump is just one factor that suggests better times lie ahead.

As part of the Detroit Three’s restructuring, supplier lists are being reduced by up to half, giving survivors a bigger piece of the pie, said BMO Capital Markets auto-parts analyst Peter Sklar. Further buoying Canadian suppliers is growing demand for global parts supply as auto makers increasingly build vehicles on shared platforms to cut costs and use common parts.

“We think this is a good entry point for investors, in terms of valuation,” he said. “They’re at the low end of the range of where they’re going to trade. For this year, for 2013, we think they’re all going to have good earnings growth, so the stocks are going to go up.”

In the last market cycle, torpedoed by the 2008-09 auto sector meltdown, Canadian parts suppliers generally traded at four to six times enterprise value to EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization), Mr. Sklar said.

He forecasts valuations of five to seven times that ratio. But Magna is now trading at about five times trailing EBITDA, Martinrea 5.2 times, Linamar 5.9 times, with smaller Exco Technologies Ltd at 5.2 times, he said.

Canadian supplier stocks are also cheaper than those of blue-chip U.S. rivals such as Johnson Controls Inc. and BorgWarner Inc. Mr. Sklar said.

To capitalize on favourable conditions, the country’s biggest suppliers must develop cutting-edge components, experts say.

Tougher fuel economy standards and a hyper-competitive auto market that is hungry for consumer-appealing electronics will require advanced parts, said Steve Rodgers, president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association.

“It’s going to be absolutely crucial for them to continue to drive their R D capabilities,” he said in a phone interview from the recent Detroit auto show.

Fuel efficiency standards for U.S. cars and light trucks will soar to 54.5 miles a gallon in 2025, building on a rule raising fuel economy to 35.5 mpg for 2011 to 2016 model year vehicles.

That is “changing a lot of directions in technology,” Mr. Rodgers said. Alongside increased interest in diesel systems, there is a push for advances ranging from lighter, alternative and composite materials to higher-speed transmissions, he said.

Ford, whose F-150 pickup is the best-selling vehicle in the United States, recently gave a sneak peek at its lighter, more fuel-thrifty truck. A new turbocharged engine and a more aerodynamic grill and wheels will help wring more miles per gallon.

Canada recently committed $250-million to an extended auto R D fund, matching the money in its initial 2008 program, but critics say that is insufficient to draw new assembly plants, the lifeline of parts suppliers.

Tony Faria, an auto industry expert at the University of Windsor in Ontario, argues such subsidies are imperative. Even if the funds don’t lure new plants, they help germinate research and technology crucial to existing manufacturing and suppliers.

To be sure, Canada’s top suppliers must also keep opening plants close to auto makers that are expanding in hot-house markets outside North America.

Magna, one of the world’s largest parts suppliers, had 305 manufacturing plants in 27 countries as of last quarter.

“If you’re going to be a major player in the auto parts industry, you’ve got to be where production is occurring,” Mr. Faria said. “For the last 10 years now, we’ve seen the bulk of new vehicle assembly going to China, India, Brazil, Russia.”

Fully 50 per cent of new auto assembly investment went to China in the last two years, he said.

China, the world’s biggest auto market, is expanding its reach. Shareholders of Wescast Industries Inc. vote on Feb. 21 on a drawn-out $145.6-million takeover bid by China’s Sichuan Bohong Industry Co. Ltd.

The auto show is simply not the show that it was pre-recession.  While it used to fill the entire convention centre along with the *Skydome* (Rogers Centre, fine), it dropped down to just the convention centre during the recession.  It s been going downhill ever since.

To start off, there is very poor signage going to south building along the skywalk. There are signs that seem to point to a certain entrance, but when we went to that entrance the guy sitting working there indicated that we were going the wrong way. He said it in a way that clearly gave away that he thought we were all morons.  Because when 90% of the people think the signs are pointing at something the problem is with the people, not the signs, right.

Then they make you walk all the way back around outside. By the time you ve circled around you realize that you ve backtracked almost the entire way.  Taking the skywalk was a complete waste of time.  We were then directed to the ceremonial entrance.  I m not sure how we would know which was one ceremonial based on the description alone.

The cars were ok.  We were in the market for a new car, so it s nice to see them all at once.  Many have restricted access.  I used to have the opportunity to visit on the VIP night when everything was fair game.  That s the way to see the auto show.

There were far too many strollers in the way.  It made it difficult to move around at time.  I think if you came on a weeknight things would be better on that front.

Buying a New Car When You Have Bad Credit

    1 of 4

Let’s say you’ve made a few late payments on your bills. Perhaps you have a maxed-out credit card. Or maybe you bought more car than you actually needed and couldn’t keep up with the payments. Hey, it happens. But now it’s time to buy another car and you have serious doubts as to whether you’ll get approved for a loan.

A few years ago, we tested the theory of buying a debt-free car as an alternative to buying at a used-car lot or a “buy here, pay here ” dealership. We concluded that for some, the maintenance and repairs may prove too much for people to handle.

Buying a new car outright won’t reestablish your credit. You’ll need to take out a loan for that. But what options do you have? The “buy here, pay here” dealerships might be one alternative, but not all of them report your payment progress to the credit bureaus. Plus, you’re still buying a used car that may require repairs. Is a new car out of the question? Not necessarily.

It is possible to buy a new car with bad credit if you know where to look and how to prepare. Here’s how this kind of car buying works and what to keep in mind throughout the process.

Why Would a Dealership Finance Your Car?

How can you buy a brand-new car when you have a spotty credit history? There are a number of reasons why a lender would let someone with a troubled credit history finance a new car.

From the lender’s perspective, a new car has more value and therefore offers more collateral that can be reclaimed if the buyer fails to make payments. The lender also has the assurance that a new-car buyer will actually keep up with payments. His money won’t be diverted to the costly repairs that sometimes befall older cars.

From the dealership perspective, a new car is an investment in a relationship that will pay off in other ways later on.

“Half the time, we’re not making any money on the deals,” says Rinaldi Halim, general manager for Nissan of Duarte. a dealership in Southern California that says it’s proud of the fact it takes on clients in all credit tiers. “We want to have a relationship with that customer,” Halim says.

One new-car sale won’t yield much (if any) profit, Halim says. But it will pay dividends when customers refer their family and friends, resulting in more car sales, including some that will be profitable for the dealership. The sales also pay off when people get their vehicles serviced in the maintenance department. Years later, the initial customers will likely trade in those “no-profit” cars for new ones. The dealership will sell the initial cars as used ones. And if they’ve been well maintained, they will turn a tidy profit for the dealership.

    Start Prepping Early

If you’re someone who has bad credit but wants to buy new, it is best to start planning for it well in advance, as you would with any major purchase.

You need to start with your credit report to see how it would look to a lender. Run it at least three months before you plan on buying so you can take action on any outstanding items, recommends Rod Griffin, director of public education for credit reporting company Experian.

Annual Credit gives you one free report a year on each of the major credit reporting companies: Experian. Equifax and TransUnion. Take advantage of it.

Getting your actual credit score typically costs money, but your score will give you an idea of the credit tier into which you fall. Experian defines subprime (which includes deep subprime, as low as you can go) as a 619 score or below on its Vantage scale.

Once you get the free credit report, pay close attention to the section that points out potentially negative items, also called risk factors. Risk factors could be anything from an old debt that went to collection to a fine you had to pay in a civil court case.

Rather than viewing them as black marks on your credit, “These risk factors can empower you as a consumer to help rehabilitate your credit,” Griffin says. The risk factors are present in all reports, so if you fix an issue you found on one credit report, the action will be reflected on all the other reports.

Experian says it offers an added benefit with its credit report and score. For $40, you get your credit score from Experian and a 35-minute session with a credit educator. This person will go over your report and point out items that need attention and give you tips on how to address it.

Get Pre-Approved and Choose a Dealer

Because your credit is bad, you will be paying a high interest rate, perhaps as high as 18 percent in California, for example. But some rates still could be better than others. This is why it’s important to seek approval from more than one lender.

To find out which car dealers may be willing to finance people with iffy credit, pay attention to radio commercials or billboards from dealerships that say things such as “Your job is your credit!” or “Bad credit? No Problem!” These are good places to start. Steer clear of the “buy here, pay here” lots, however, since they don’t sell new cars.

Many dealership Web sites have credit applications you can fill out online to get pre-approved. If you don’t see the application on the front page, it may be under the “Finance” tab.

Also, check with your own bank or credit union. They may be more willing to approve you since you already have an established financial relationship with them. You might also try Road Loans from Santander Consumer USA, which specializes in subprime loans.

Don’t worry that filling out too many loan applications will harm your credit. “Lenders know you are searching for the best rate,” Griffin says. As long as you apply for loans in a 14-day period, they will only count as one “hard” inquiry on your credit report.

Bring Documents To Show You’re a Good Credit Risk

When you go into the dealership to talk about financing, you need to bring along some important paperwork. These items will allow a dealership to establish who you are and confirm that you have a job, that you have a history of making monthly payments on time and have friends or family the dealership can contact to find you if you stop making payments. Bring these items with you:

    • The most recent pay stub from your job
    • Your utility bill (gas, water, electricity)
    • Your driver license
    • Three personal references

Stay in Your Price Range and Look at the Total Costs

Most people know what they can afford for a monthly car payment. But that sometimes ignores the bigger picture. Just because you qualified to buy a $22,000 midsize sedan doesn’t mean you should buy it. For example, if you scale back and purchase a $17,000 compact sedan, you’ll free up $100 per month. This is money you could use for gas, insurance or to pay other bills.

“We love our leather seats and sunroofs,” says Griffin, “but when your credit isn’t stellar, it is better to look at a lower-end automobile.”

A Typical Deal and a Bad One

Halim gives an example of a deal made for someone with bad credit: a $16,000 Nissan Versa. minus a $1,000 bonus cash incentive, financed for 72 months with $1,000 down. The interest rate would be around 17.9 percent, which would bring the monthly payment to about $354. At the end of the six years, you would have paid $25,485 for that Versa.

These numbers will vary based on how much you’re putting down, what you’re financing and what you’ve been approved for, but it gives you a rough idea on what this type of deal looks like. A sizable percentage of the loan will be the interest ($9,927 in this example), but this is the reality when you’re borrowing in this credit tier.

Just remember that it could be worse if you were dealing with a “buy here, pay here” car purchase. While talking to Halim, for example, we heard about a customer who had purchased a car from a “buy here, pay here” dealership and no longer wanted the car. The loan was for $4,200, to be paid over 36 months. The person already had made 22 payments of $322 and still owed $3,800 on the principal, thanks to an exorbitant interest rate. It approached the California legal maximum of 29.9 percent.

Resist the Urge To Trade Up

A number of new-car dealerships offer their credit-challenged customers the chance to trade into another vehicle without a significant increase in their monthly payment, provided they’ve made a year’s worth of consecutive on-time payments. While it may be tempting to get out of a Nissan Sentra and into a Nissan Altima. for example, you will be adding more debt to your next loan.

If you want to move up to a larger or nicer car, a smarter strategy is to refinance the current loan for a lower interest rate and monthly payment, then stick out the loan until the initial car is paid off. When it’s time to purchase your next car, you should be in a higher credit tier (assuming you’ve also done well on your other bills), and will qualify for a nicer car.

    The New You

If you’ve done your credit homework, shopped within your price range and made all your payments, you’ve not only improved your credit score but also set up positive finance habits that will serve you well for years to come.

BYD Plans Electric Supercar, More Powerful Plug-In Hybrid

BYD Qin plug-in hybrid sedan, unveiled at Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, April 2012

BYD Auto hasn’t been in the news much lately, but the largest privately-owned Chinese carmaker hasn’t backed away from its ambitious plans.

According to China Car Times . BYD will launch a new plug-in hybrid model next year, to be called the Tang, to be followed by an electric supercar.

Both vehicles will use BYD’s lithium-iron-phosphate battery cells.

    Qin seen last year

BYD has already shown a concept for its next plug-in hybrid model–to be called the Qin –and that model is expected to enter production between October and December this year.

    The Qin uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 110-kilowatt (148-horsepower) electric motor, for a total output of 300 hp (223 kW) and 325 pound-feet (440 Newton-meters) of torque.

    That car’s 10-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack provides a 30-mile (50-km) all-electric range.

Chinese battery electric crossover: BYD e6 test drive, Los Angeles, May 2012

The new hybrid system to be called Tang will replace the Qin’s 1.5-liter turbo with a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo four.

The result will be a predicted acceleration of 0 to 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds for vehicles fitted with the updated hybrid powertrain.

    S7 crossover, then E9 supercar?

China Car Times suggests that the new and more powerful hybrid system may be installed first in the company’s S7 sport-utility vehicle, and will launch sometime next year.

Then there are plans for a battery-electric vehicle to be known as the E9.

While BYD has been “extremely tight-lipped” about the E9, company officials told reporters it will be an all-electric supercar with a performance goal of 0 to 62 mph in only 3.9 seconds.

The Tesla Roadster Sport, now out of production, achieved the same goal in 3.7 seconds.

    Unusual PR event

According to reporter Ash Sutcliffe, the information about BYD’s future product plans came in a venue very different from the common Chinese practice of carefully scripted public-relations events.

BYD e6 electric taxi in service in Shenzhen, China

“Basically, it was a rolled-up sleeves event where journalists were shown future tech in a relaxed environment,” Sutcliffe told Green Car Reports.

More remarkable, the assembled journalists were “allowed to ask any questions they wanted.”

With a 10-percent stake owned by fabled investor Warren Buffet. BYD attracted a lot of attention with plans to sell its E6 all-electric crossover in the U.S.

More recently the company has focused on electric buses, which will go into service in the California cities of Long Beach and Los Angeles .

Why Used-Car Prices Will Stay High

    By Kelsey Mays

    May 23, 2012

Mike Hogan didn’t expect much for his trade-in, a 13-year-old stick-shift Subaru Forester SUV with 129,000 miles on the odometer. He’d have been happy with $1,500.

    The dealer offered $2,750.

“I suppose I undervalue my used cars because I drive them for so long,” said Hogan, a 49-year-old who is the director of a domestic violence program in suburban Milwaukee. He handed over the Forester, his wife’s car, last January and bought her a brand-new Kia Soul, a car that starts at $13,900 and is one of the cheapest on the market. It was the first new car Hogan bought in more than a dozen years.

“We are both long-time used-car buyers,” Hogan wrote in an email. “We most often try to purchase low-mileage used cars that are only one or two model years old. … Given the inflated prices at the time, we did not consider seriously any used models.”

Believe it or not, the dealer will likely still make money.’s national inventory shows dozens of 1999 Subaru Foresters with more than 100,000 miles, and the median listing price is just shy of $5,000.

Three years of depressed new-car sales have driven used prices to historic highs. Recent evidence suggests possible relief, but it will likely take years, not months, before used-car prices come back down.

    Low Sales, Fewer Cars

Such is the result of new-car sales below 16 million, which is what we’ve seen every year since 2008, when the economy crumbled. From 2008 to 2011, recession-wracked car shoppers bought more than 19 million fewer vehicles than during the earlier 2000s. That, in turn, affected the number of used cars on the road today, available to used-car shoppers like Hogan.

New-car sales handily outpaced the number of cars being scrapped by at least 3 million from 2000 to 2007, according to CNW Marketing Research:

Sources: Automotive News, CNW Marketing Research, Bloomberg News

The total number of vehicles on the road ballooned over that period. In 2000, the U.S. had some 205 million cars on the road, or 73 cars per 100 Americans, according Polk and census data. By 2007, that number had grown to 241 million cars, or 80 cars for every 100 Americans.

Then came the recession. From 2008 to 2011, Americans bought just 48 million new cars, while junkyards scrapped around 47 million used cars. Predictably, total cars on the road plateaued at around 240 million. The number of Americans driving them continued to grow, however. In 2007 there were 80 cars for every 100 Americans. By 2011, that number had ebbed to 77.

Fewer cars in circulation drove up used-car prices, particularly as drivers hung onto their vehicles longer and longer. A collapse in auto leasing in 2008 exacerbated the situation, leaving the pipeline dry for late-model used cars in 2011 through today — the types of cars Hogan and many others typically zero in on when car shopping.

The result? The average used car went from $9,022 at wholesale in December 2008 to $9,878 three years later, according to Automotive News and ADESA data.

The numbers hit home when you consider data for some of the most popular car searches. Look at the Ford F-150, Ford Mustang, Honda Civic, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Toyota Camry. Across the five models, listed prices for used cars 5 years old or newer have increased 29% since April 2009, easily outpacing the relative increase in MSRPs across the same span.

Source: data. Each average included used-car listings on 5-year-old and newer cars each April. (For example, April 2009 had 2004-2008 models.)

    A Slow Road Back

What needs to happen for the high prices to reverse? Exactly what is happening in 2012 — just more of it over more time. New-car sales are up 10% through the first four months of the year, and analysts surveyed this month by Bloomberg News expect shoppers this year to buy 14.3 million new cars, a 12% gain by year’s end. CNW projects around 12 million cars to be scrapped this year, which signals that the total number of cars on the road will climb once again.

Used-car demand has been falling in the meantime, but could that be due to shoppers making the same choice Hogan did? In 2010, shoppers bought 3.2 used cars for every new car, according to CNW. In 2011, that ratio fell to 3.0. The ratio has seasonal variations, but shoppers through April bought 2.3 used cars for every new car — down from 2.4 cars in the first four months of 2011. Any way you slice it, the relative demand for used cars is falling.

That, combined with a slow but steady influx of used cars, means prices will fall. slowly. Average wholesale used-car prices fell 2% year over year in February, which is the most recent data available from Automotive News. Auto Remarketing, a used-car publication, noted that auto leasing has stabilized — around one in five cars — since early spring 2011.

The relief will be slow. The bulk of 2011’s leases won’t turn over until 2014 and beyond. February’s average wholesale price for a used car is just $31 less than last December’s.

The progress is slow, but it might work out in time for Hogan’s next car. While his wife drives the Soul, he hopes to get a few more years out of his 2005 Toyota Sienna minivan, which he bought in 2007.

“I am hoping to get another three or four years out of our Toyota Sienna,” Hogan wrote. “And I expect, by then, you will be able to get good value in low-mileage used cars again.”

Buying cars online from Japan #united #auto #insurance

    #cars online

    Buying cars online from Japan

Buying cars online from Japan is still a challenge

With all enormous popularity of the Internet – buying cars online from Japan is still a challenge. Why? There are several reasons for it where trust, way of doing business in japan, language challenges and lack of a good advise are prevalent.

Trust – one of the largest issues that the customer has while buying a car that he didn’t see with his/her own eyes. This aspect could be farther divided into company trust -since all online car exporters from Japan require 100% advance payment and confidence that the car described on the web-site is in the same condition as the site says.

Regarding the due-diligence on company’s legitimacy – there are several ways how you can check. The easiest one – just pay attention to the company site and such facts as frequency of stock updates, professionalism and clearly defined procedure how to order your car and steps necessary (please check for the details How to order section at Japan Partner Inc.). Also a good check would be to see if the company owns the domain it sells the cars from and the site is not being hosted for free (you can tell it if there is abundance of advertising). There is nothing wrong with free hosting however if the company is serious about selling cars online in Japan they would definitely need 300-1000 MB of hosting space that is never given for free.

More thorough checks can be conducted through the proper official channels. Company status is probably one of the most important factors while checking for its trustworthiness and legitimacy. There are 3 main forms of conducting business in Japan:

    1. Personal business (kojin) is least regulated and least accountable for its practices here in Japan
    2. Houjin Limited ownership (Ltd.) in Japanese (yuugen gaisya)
    3. Houjin Incorporated (Inc.) in Japanese (kabushiki gaisya)

The most prevailing form of business is Ltd. so if the company you are about to buy car online from Japan is either Ltd or Inc. then they should be legitimate and legally operate in Japan. As personal form of business (Kojin) there is nothing wrong with it but it must be transparent and do not claim that it is the “the largest exporter” in Japan and etc. There are a number of personal businesses, which are in export business, and if somebody used that koujin company before and was happy you can also use it .

Another way to check if the company that sells used cars online in Japan is whether they are registered (have registration number) with Foreign Trade Chamber. This registration number is awarded to the companies, which had trading/export history and properly equipped/staffed to conduct export business (For the format you can check our Export registration number on our company profile page ). So if the company that you are about to buy a used or damaged cars online from, has such registration number – it is a good sign of its legitimacy.

And the last but not the least – bank account. Japanese banking laws are rather strict when it concerns “monetary movements” and bank accounts. All registered (houjin businesses LTD and INC require to have their banking accounts exactly under the name that they registered their companies. So if you are buying a used car online from Japan and name on the bank account is different than the name of the trading company (or even worth belongs to an individual) then you need to investigate more before transferring the payment.

    Language challenges

Even though most of Japanese study or studies English – very few can speak (even if they can write English, most of them have difficulty speaking). Make sure when you speak on the phone with your Japanese agent or dealer that you are about to buy a car from, that he/she understands what you want.

Way of doing business in Japan

Japanese business is heavily dependent on “middle men”. It wasn’t until 90s when both under the influence of depression and foreign competition Japan economy started getting more efficient and direct while doing business. Regular way of selling cars in Japan is to go through the number of middlemen before it actually comes to a company or individual abroad. So if you decide to shop before choosing your online used car company – you won’t have lots to chose from, most of the reliable but rather expensive online car traders can be counted by one hand with stock really exceeding 20-30 cars.

OK, now you did all the homework with choosing the local (Japanese) company to buy a car from and ready for the action BUT Not so fast.

“MUST DO” before deciding on the car

You will need to check with your country import rules to make sure that the car you want to get does not fall under any restrictions. Most of the countries have liberal laws on importing used and damaged cars and when they do they mostly relate to production year or gas emissions. Also make sure you check and know what export related documents you need from Japan. The regular package is B margin: 0 10px 5px 0;” src=”” />

    Getting your car back home

Once you bought your car online in Japan – it is natural you want it fast as soon as you can. If shipments are frequent to your port – and deregistration certificate is already issued – then you can have your car on board of a car ferry within a week (provided your agent could get a spot on it with no lead time). Usually it takes about 2 -3 weeks to ship your car (with frequent connection) or full 4 weeks if deregistration certificate has to be issued. When you buy from the auction, or the car is being purchased directly from an individual – they usually ask for 10 days to have your deregistration certificate ready. Once your payment is confirmed, shipping arrangement are conducted and once the car leaves Japan a package with your car related documents is expressed mail to you.

Picking up your car at the port

Now it is easy. You check your closest shipping agent, contact him/her and bring your export related documents to your agent. For a small fee, he will arrange your car off-loading and other (if any) custom related paper work. After that – the car is YOURS!

    * Please note that this is a general and non-specific to any country flow. It is for illustrative purposes only. Check with your local authorities and shipping agency for complete details.

    Buying a Car Online or at a Dealership #online #auto #auctions

    #buy car online

    Buying a Car Online

There are two ways to approach online car dealership shopping:

    • Direct online sales.

    Direct from Dealer

Several dealerships now have online sales departments. The entire purpose of these teams is to sell cars to their website visitors.

To take advantage of this service, simply ask the dealership for a quote on the car you are interested in buying directly from their website. The dealership will e-mail you back with its offer. Some dealership websites even offer live chats with online salespeople.

You can also ask for the dealership to list out all the fees so you can get an exact sense of the total cost of the car. Go through this process with multiple dealers and you will be able to see who offers the best price without ever leaving your home.

    Dealership Aggregators

Most of the big name online car marketplaces are considered dealership aggregators. Dealerships throughout the country use such sites to list their inventory.

Through these sites—such as —you can search for the car you want and find several results within your vicinity, or even throughout the country. With so many results at your disposal, comparing prices can be exceptionally easy.

    Cons of Buying Online

Shopping online for the best deal on a new car and reducing your time at the dealership sounds ideal for most people. However, there are some instances when buying a car online can be more complicated. Here are some pitfalls to avoid:

    • Out-of-state dealerships. Buying a car out-of-state isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but you should keep in mind that the car registration and titling process can be more complicated than if you were buying in your home state.
    • No test-driving. If the dealer with the best online price is too far for a trip, are you comfortable taking the risk of never having driven the car?

Find a steady supply of inexpensive automobiles, like a local auction house or swap meet. Become a car dealer. Ask your bank for a quote, and other banks as well. The best deal is the lowest interest rate you can find for the shortest loan period, and not one that will shoot up after a few months.

Burson Auto Parts: Reading the Signs

by Chief Signwriter on July 9, 2014

Maintaining a fresh, eye-catching, and alluring public face for a company is integral to an individual businesses success. If implemented correctly, a rebrand can revitalise a stale and familiar brand into something new and exciting. A prime example of how an effective Rebranding Campaign can be run is seen by looking at Burson Auto Parts. When it came time to rebrand their company Burson Auto Parts looked no further than Signarama. The world’s largest sign franchise Signarama had recently undergone a global rebranding and as a result, had an understanding of how to communicate a new look to their customers without confusing the message or distancing the company from the products and services they provide. Key to this was developing strong outdoor signage for the company.

The success of the Burson Auto Parts rebrand indicates that strong communication between Burson and Signarama was imperative. During the process, Signarama made sure to listen to their client and make sure that all aspects of the design and rebrand of Burson’s image was in keeping with what they wanted to convey to their customers. Be maintaining effective contact with the client, Signarama were able to install and complete the rebrand in only 10 days. This resulted in satisfaction from Burson’s management with the changes and a refreshing update on the company’s visual representation that was familiar to previous customers and contemporary enough to attract new business.

When rebranding for a company, or an individual, it is integral to have as much contact and communication with the client as possible. By getting the best understanding of the client’s wants and needs, a consultancy firm is able to convey the company’s message to the public. Creating an iconic and appealing visual design for a company is great, successfully improving on that same design is better.
